Love New Edge. Thanks for making this interview available.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Very informative interview!
Fantastic and insightful interview/discussion. I am now a subscriber and looking forward to checking out more of your videos
Honestly, I balked somewhat seeing the length of this video, but I am very glad I watched it. Excellent interview, informative and entertaining.
I'm a solid believer in the "Venture Bros. - dangling strings" style of worldbuilding which Oliver described. Leaving things as passing references to maybe be explored later, should the mood come along or they become relevant through the interconnectedness of my world(s).
It was definitely long haha but I'm glad you enjoyed it! And I agree, that kind of worldbuilding is a lot of fun!
Ha, I talk a lot, I know. Thanks for taking the dive into this longer-form interview!
And yes, for me there's a clear line in my work pre and post "Venture Bros Worldbuilding". Feels like a great plotter/pantser fusion.
@OliverBrackenbury My world's wiki is full of red links that I chase down and add the missing lore articles when bored. Of course this only leads to more red links on those new pages.
Romantacy in S&S?... Absolutely! A romantic connection raises the stakes - something/someone worth fighting for. Or over.
Absolutely agree!
