- The latest crazy online trend is polishing aluminum foil balls until they shine. I didn’t even know you could do that to aluminum foil, so Challenge accepted! I am going to do the Japanese polished foil ball just to see what it takes. I have tried to do an AMAZING MIRROR POLISH on on different objects before, but I never knew that you can polish tinfoil. This ball became my obsession AND my masterpiece.

I have no idea what to do with this ball. Should I cut it open to see what's inside? Or something else? Let me know what would you like me to do with this thing.
It would be great to be able to see the interior after so much compression and how much can be decompressed.
Cut open
You did it too fast. Now take your time and make it more spherical, dense, and polish it over a couple of days/weeks. That is the difference between a passing fad, a hobby and a skill.
Microwave it.
cut
After seeing it cut open, I was amazed to see how the layers appear to be welded together.
So far the best and most believable of all that I have seen. Nice ball, have fun throwing it ;)
Thanks!
Or instead of throwing it you could send it to the Waterjet channel
Greatest vid yet, this takes me back to elementary school at lunchtime when I had leftover foil in my lunch box
Amazing work I'm glad you took the time to show everyone how to make a compressed aluminum foil ball it's amazing work and I enjoyed watching you make that dude.
Serious effort mate 👍
Nice Canadian foil ball

Copying other youtuber is not creative, just say . Otherwise good video nice edit !
This takes me back to the good old school days we had this left over foil andvd we use to make a ball and play with it. 🏀😍😍
Alcan is some pretty good stuff. Canada Proud!
Best one yet too!

Kinda neat conversation piece. Thanks for the video.

Came from the water jet channel to see how you make a ball. Exciting i know
Awesome!
It looks a lot simpler than I thought it was
Nice ball. What watch are you wearing? Is it a seiko?
How did you deal with the end flaps
Wow that's awesome. Nice job.
Awesome.
Thanks =)
Amazing!
love your Watch, may i ask what it is?
The water jet channel cut this and gave me a link. Love your videos
Now THAT was cool!
Thanks Bruce!
this is amazing !
Thanks =)
it would be great for taking pictures ,Použil bych ho na vlastní instagram :))
That's impressive!
Thanks =)
I've considered doing something like this. But I'd start with smaller foil squares, and roll them and compress them to create a solid core. And then put the core on the right lower corner of a square-ish sheet of foil, and then roll it forward, and when you reach the end of the sheet, roll it left. I would rotate the ball 45 degrees, and repeat, and just keep following that pattern with each following sheet getting longer and longer. I think if you do it that way, you'll get a ball thats pretty solid before you even start to hammer it..
As a side suggestion, when rolling the ball forward, go two rolls. That way, as the sheets get bigger, you can measure it out by pulling the foil out, rolling the ball forward beside the roll, and then mark the spot to cut the foil sheet at at the end of the ball's second roll.
5:41 so you use lotion for metal balls too😏
I know that’s not lotion
Yep, to keep them smooth 😉
What is it?
Simple and interesting
Thank you!
Looks a bit rough, I like it
Dude thank you for helping as all on how to make it and a subed 👍

Excellent...!
Cheers...
Very nice job ..I think you should make a trophy with this ball😄😄😄

How long did it take for you to make it?
How much does it weigh? Awesome!!
Thays awesome😀😄
The WaterJet cutting channel brought me here
great video, i have a question, how long did it take ? i want to do the same thing on my channel but i think that it will take a lot of time
It took me about 5 hours to make
chadi chabib it will take ya about 3-7 hours
The Life Of Aaron or 2-8, 1-9, 4-6
Go with something older, a dorodango. Frankly, they're far more impressive.
thank's i love your videos
This is the meme of April my friends.
Yep!
Nice job
Thanks =)
How long did it take all together?
That is really cool nice
Good job
Very cool vid.
How long did this take? it's cool, wanna try but need to know what I'm getting myself in to!
It took me about 4-5 hours
Nice
you are the first i saw making it
Nice!!!
You guys need to teach @threadbanger how to do it right lol
Yes, his video is so fake!
Threadbanger generally sucks at everything they try to make.
Jordiw00t a long time ago, they actually put out content that resulted in quite a few more successful projects than what they put out now
what are these used for anyways?
How much it weighs? :O It's absolutely the most satisfying video ever. Thank you for this incredible piece of work!
It feels like its made of wood. It has some weight to it but, but it's lighter than it looks.
Wow
That sucker would look cool in some clear resin epoxy.
Or half ball, half epoxy =)
NathanBrutal @PeterBrown could probably do some neat stuff with this and epoxy.
Atleast he got a ball
So how long did it take?
You can heat it up to make it crack less while your pounding it.
Me too but just a littlebit
Looks like a ball magnet
Yes, it is very mesmerizing =)
Lol this is like the only properly-done one on the english-speaking internet. Yours was refreshing after seeing many obnoxious, lazy grifters with shouting problems.
Water jet channel sent us, I wasn't disappointed, thank you
Check out the other videos too, you will like it 👍
Inspire To Make I definitely will, subscribed too ;)
You have a lot of free time mate
That's Heavy brother 😎
Make a cube next time
👍
Неплохо так! ....Класс
I kinda wanted you to give it a mirror polish
good video
nice
Nice video!:) I think melted the ball a gas torch.
What I've been expecting by clicking this?
Yep, there is no click bate. This is what it is =)
Five hours later.. still working on it!
Inspire to make, whats inside a aluminum foil ball is just foil
Well the guy who did these originally didn't sand it or use abrasives only a hammer apparently but I guess it makes a bit easier good job
he used abrasives
how many hours?
Damn you got some big balls
😂😂😂
It looks like a huge musket ball
I was thinking more like cannonball =)
Inspire To Make ah. Much better! You should make your own mortar or cannon and shoot it out of it
how about reshaping it into a bowl?
that will give a new life to it.
Cool Idea!
This is actually How to make a Little planet.
1:51. Look. The ball is smiling
What song is this?
Wonder if you could achieve the same thing by just putting a foil ball into a rock tumbler/ rock smoothing machine
How much did it weight in the end?
I didn't measure the weight, but I would compare it to a wooden ball the way it feels
How long did this take?
About 5 hours
Your arm, must be like Quagmires after that.
LOL!!! It was =)))
Do a giveaway!!!
Why did you use different kinds of hammers ?
yes, I was using different hammers, just to try what works best
Even smarter to send it to waterjet guys.
That would take houre or days to do hope ur hand isnt broken Just to make it perfect👌
It took me around 5 hours to make.
How long did it take you
About 4-5 hours
Wow that's a lot
Damn dude that shit was night vision scope as fucks
YASSS I DID NOT GET CLICKBATE BY THE THUMBNAIL =)
It's hard to find non click-bate videos on this topic. Thats why I always scrolling through videos with left and right buttons on my keyboard, to skip the BS
Make a polished aluminium head.
Hussain Hamza I'd suggest polished aluminum butt, instead
atenrok 😂😁😁😁
Waterjet Channel sent me here!
Awesome!
