You don't have to have red-guard on the wall board? The Redi wall board is fully waterproof?
Nope! Our wall boards are 100% waterproof (they are polyurethane) so no additional waterproofing is necessary.
What about installing a custom niche in the redi wall? would it be the same idea as cement board with mesh tape and mortar + sealant?
The installation process is almost the same - just easier. You can waterproof using the Redi Sealant and/or use waterproofing tape along the edges.
