when propagation of mandevilla through ground layering is so easy, I don't find any justification of its very high cost charged by nurseries. I have only white variety. I want to buy other color varieties too-- but can't do so due to absurd costs ! No business is so profitable like nursery business.

Do you have to do this with a live plant? I wanted to prop my mandevilla but it was about to frost so I took some cuttings. I did this with two vines but they have been completely cut from the mother plant. It was too wrapped around my fence to take inside.

Heyaa !!
You must not cut out the plantlet from mother plant! Keep it attached as shown in the video!
Also remember that do not do this in frost, try propagating in spring or monsoon season

This would take about 15-30 days, and you can do this in the month of AUGUST - OCTOBER!

Always welcome! ....and plant during heavy rain? You don't at all have to expose it out at all. Keep it in full shade/indoor during heavy rain.
