Mel as a plumber please please use ct1 silicone it's the best on market use that for sealing all joints and no leaks ever again

What about water run towards your drain trap? Especially if not parked on the level? Should you not have a well tilted and bevelled tray to assist with water running to the drain hole?

Hey there! How's the shower project coming along? Just a heads-up about the shower tray-make sure it slopes well so water doesn't just hang out there like it's waiting for a bus. You definitely don't want a mini swimming pool in your bathroom!
By the way, that tanking membrane is pure magic. Apply it three times and bam! You've got yourself a waterproof fortress. No leaks, no drama.
About the shower ceiling-Becky will love it, but you might need to do a little knee-bending to get that shower head in just the right spot for you. Personally, I turned my wooden floor into a shower tray to keep that precious headroom intact-it's a game-changer.
Oh, and about the drain-straight to the street, no biggie. Totally legal, just like washing your car curb-side. Who knew plumbing could be so street-smart?

A friend had a issue with height in shower he put a skylight in the shower cubicle he put a second shower head to mount in the sky light not only did this give extra height it gave ventilation for moisture to leave.

Hi mel DONT tee off for the sink,if you have room i would run 4 lines especially
when the pipes are hidden just encase off any leaks.....no matter how good joints are they MIGHT leak and the time and trouble ur taking it would be a shame to rip it apart just for a water leak....better safe than sorry.😊😊
Mel, maybe look into the sealer that is CT1 ... It's taken the building trade by storm. It really is the ultimate.

Mel be aware that running your high amperage cables in conduit derates their current carrying capability because they are more likely to overheat.

Hi Mel, i'm wondering how the water is going to drain away on a flat surfice ? Did you not consider using a forma to ensure good drainage, when you consider most motorhomes have two drains to accommodate uneven levels when parked up I think you might regret your shower tray design. Anyway thats just my thoughts, good luck with the rest of your build and thanks for all the entertainment / ammusement you provide us all.

Awrite Mel can I wire a maxxfan and light surround together into a 12v extension cable then connect into my bluetti ac180 as we opted out for full electrics as we only intend to use our van on weekends and feel the power bank suits our needs

Jst a thought Mel..does the vario sit slightly higher at the back, like most vans? If so, you may find yourself scooping the water with your foot towards the plughole whenever tou shower..
No problem it sits perfectly level
Mal STOP don’t order the shower as you will not get under it not enough headroom. going to need a traditional shower. loving the videos, keep up the great great work.👍🏻🙈
its all perfect and he fits well under it as it has an adjustable height and tilting shower head.

Mel problem shower head won’t be ideal because of the height of the floor which needs to be lower and what about the run off angle for the water to run to the drain?
I didn’t order the one in the video after all as you say it wouldn’t have been possible so I have a different one now as for runoff it depends if I’m parked on a slope or not 👍

You had better stop that order for the shower head, as that's not going to fit. It's a over head shower head.
Also doesn't a shower tray slight declines towards the waste so no water is pooling.
Edited once again to say I am enjoying the build alot, keep up the hard work... It will be great.
yeah we know and all have it in hand, next video will be explained further as we changed our plans yet again.

Showers are ok in a van but just remember when you park up ,if the van is sloping wrong your in trouble your water will do as it wants ,.ppl seam to forget its not a shower in a house ,,,lol your van is never on the level 100% ,,just something else to think about when you pake up i fou d thus out the hard way , more trouble then thay are worth ,, good content again mel nice one

You do need a shower Mel.
we had one in our last van too, but it was outside, so not always pleasant in the winter and also not always possible if stealth camping.
Can’t quite see what’s going to be luxurious about a vario.
The space and having a shower IS the luxury compared to what we’re used to 😂
