Dismantling the lawn where to start, how to remove the lawn, why remove the lawn where to start? Let's figure it out. There are many ways to do this, such as mechanical removal of the lawn with a shovel or special tools, chemical exposure to herbicides and other substances with a similar effect. It is also possible to cover the lawn with some material limiting the access of light.
Lawn cutting requires some materials and tools:

Removing sod with a shovel is the easiest method:
Cutting the lawn with a shovel is a quick, inexpensive way that does not require any costs other than physical ones.
Using a sharpened shovel, it is necessary to carefully remove the sod with a depth of 3-5 centimeters in the required location. It should be remembered about safety precautions, since the shovel must be super sharp so that this operation takes less physical effort. Before removing the sod, mark the area to be removed using a rope, a flexible garden hose, and a tape measure. The next technique along the marking contour is to cut through the boundaries of the removal of the lawn so as not to remove the excess. After finishing work on removing the old lawn, the sod must be taken out or placed in a compost pit, mixing after a certain time for better decay of the residues.
Dismantling with herbicide:
Herbicides are chemicals designed to kill plants. Destroying the lawn with a herbicide is a surer, but more time-consuming method. Safety when working with herbicides should come first. It is imperative to use a protective mask, respirator, rubber gloves and boots, plus special clothing, as these substances are very chemically active and can damage your health. Especially these precautions must be observed by allergy sufferers.
Herbicides can be in a liquid state and powdered, and different speed of impact on plants.
Non selective herbicides of continuous action. They kill all plants in a row, regardless of their usefulness and species, they are used when there are no cultivated plants on the site.
Selective herbicides (selective action) are used for certain types of plants. They can be used even during the period of active plant growth.
According to the type of effect, herbicides are divided into:
contact impact. Substance Kills those parts of a plant on which it has got, apply against annual plants.
systemic impact. The substance gets inside the plant and penetrates with the juice even into the root system, destroying the plant, as it were from the inside.
To clean the lawn, it is best to use a systemic herbicide of continuous action, as a rule, these are herbicides from the group of glyphosates. The herbicide is diluted with water in the required proportion and applied by spraying to the entire surface of the lawn to be removed. After this procedure, you need to wait some time, usually 1-2 weeks for the complete destruction of weeds. And then you can start tilling the soil and the necessary plantings. Deadlines also play an important role. The best time is the period of enhanced vegetation, usually May-September.
Another mechanical method you can apply is cultivation with a motorized cultivator. The method is also quite lengthy, since it is necessary to do several cultivations with a week break, since bluegrass, often present in lawns, is a root offspring plant.
Another fairly effective, but costly lawn shelter method:
If you have the opportunity, you can purchase a dark film or roofing material. With their help, the required area of the lawn is covered. It is advisable to do this in hot summer weather and after 5-9 days the lawn under the covering material will simply burn out, unable to withstand elevated temperatures and lack of light. А мы под клумбы сняли газон «толстой шкуркой» и отдали соседу)) он составил прекрасный пазл из разноразмерных кусков и второй год является обладателем шикарного газона перед домом🤗

Хоть кто-то не рекомендует уродскую ленту по краю вкапывать... Признак профессионала. Мало того, что не красиво, так и ухаживать мешает, и на некоторых грунтах выпирает после зимы. Намного проще подрезАть периодически кромку. Отлично получилось! А я хочу попробовать не по правилам сделанный газон (превратился уже в дикий) с помощью черного спанбонда/агроткани исправить. Снимать - не вариант, т.к. уровень меняется, а у меня клумбы и солитеры. Гербицидами не хочу и в принципе, и боюсь, что на растения попадёт. Вот придумала застелить на лето или пару месяцев черную агроткань, пускай сгорит под ней всё, потом сниму и посею газон. Надеюсь, к тому времени будет у вас видео-рекомендации по выбору газонной смеси (конкретные наименования или рекомендуемый состав и пропорции трав).

Ручной съем действительно адский труд - это тут еще газон хороший легко снимается. Мы используем подрезчик, есть на моем канале видео с ним.

Добрый день! Подскажите, хватает ли глубины снятия дерна 3см или потом, от оставшихся корней, газон все таки прорастает как сорняк на клумбе?

Конечно прыгнет - если не ухаживать. Раз, два в сезон края клумб подравниваются, этого достаточно, и все ок.
А газон на выброс?😨
