Actually, the whole "main rapper", "main dancer", "lead rapper" position label thing is a kind of fan fiction. YGE (their production company) does not use those position labels and has never officially or permanently assigned "main", "lead" and "sub" positions. Hence there is no official "main rapper" or "main dancer" or "main vocal" in the group. (I know Kpop fans are constantly repeating that "main", "lead" and "sub" position meme and make assumptions about members' skill rankings based on those labels, but the labels are not real and do not come from their company.) The members of the group also don't use those titles/labels when talking about their roles in the group. But you're right that the rappers in the group are Lisa and Jennie. Both of them are very good. And Lisa's dancing skills are amazing. The other members of the group call her the "dance machine" of the group as a kind of nickname just because she's so good at dancing. (But they don't call her the "main dancer".) All of the members are multi-talented and capable of doing different roles in their songs on a song-by-song basis.

Unfortunately, Kpop fans repeat it so much that even entertainment reporters assume it's true and official, but it's not. (Unfortunately, a lot of entertainment reporters are not well known for rigorous research and fact checking.) (Apologies for the long discussion, but I think it's important in light of the fact that so many Kpop fans tend to read way too much into position labels that actually are not even real.)
There are some popular Kpop fan sites that purport to put up group member profiles (which, if put together well, often become the main go-to source for many kpop fans and people curious about Kpop). Such sites sometimes also include those "main", "lead" and "sub" position designations. But those sites are obviously just third-party sites that do not purport to speak for YG. They are made by Kpop fans and they also do not have or refer to any official YG sources for the position labels. The biggest one (which is probably where publications like Time and MTV would get their information), claims to get their information on the positions from Melon (the big download/charting site for music in Korea, which also is obviously not YGE). But if you fact check this claim (by actually going to the Melon site), it's easy to confirm that even Melon DOES NOT use those position designations. There literally is no official source for those position designations.
Even when YGE had their official, lavishly produced debut introduction ceremony for Blackpink, where each member was individually introduced formally and for the first time as a member of Blackpink, those position designations were not mentioned at all.
It's significant because a lot of misinformed Kpop fans make a lot of wrong assumptions about the skills and abilities of the girls because, according to the meme, "main" ranks higher than "lead" and "lead" ranks higher than "sub". So people are always trying to pin the stigma of "second best" on Lisa because they erroneously think that YG gave her the second-best ranking of "lead rapper" when in fact nothing like that ever happened. Similarly, Jennie and Jisoo are stigmatized by supposedly having lesser vocalist positions.
It should be obvious that YG producers do not pay any attention to the meme or feel any obligations to assign roles according to it (notwithstanding the expectations of fans who think the meme is real). It's quite apparent that the producers simply assign roles on a song-by-song basis, depending on what they think is best for the song.
Also, if people think about it logically (something that Kpop fans rarely do):
(1) it would not even make good sense for a company to limit their flexibility or the potential of their artists by assigning official and permanent rankings to them within a group (especially since a popular group is expected to be active for 7 to 10 years or more -- and why go out of your way to officially stigmatize some members as being less skilled);
(2) even if a company was foolish enough to do such a thing, they would still have every right to change such designations anytime they wanted based on their own assessments of members' abilities (so why create unnecessary complications by officially announcing a hierarchy of positions, which you may want to be free to change from time to time in the future); and
(3) some of the positions in the meme do not even make sense at all, when you think about the songs produced by YG. For example, there are really no "main dancer" parts in YG songs, so why even bother assigning "main", "lead" and "sub" dancer positions for a 4-member group, and there are also really no "main visual" parts in any YG songs, so (again) why bother making an official and permanent "main visual" position assignment. Such position assignments, if real, would amount to little more than booby prizes. The only reason why Lisa's exceptional dancing ability is well known is due to her taking the initiative and producing and uploading "dance performance" videos on her own channel, as well as some extra-curricular dance activities with YG (X academy). If she had to rely on non-existent "main dancer" parts in BP songs, nobody would have any idea concerning the extent of her dancing abilities. That alone is a clear logical indicator as to how nonsensical the "main", "lead" and "sub" position meme is.
I too for a long time just assumed that those "main", "lead" and "sub" designations were somehow based on something official, but the more I looked into it the clearer it became that they were just a fan-made meme that didn't make much practical sense (and, worse, were often "weaponized" by fans against group members who were stigmatized by fake labels that implied lower ability or ranking in the group).
Then I realized that I had never seen anything from YG that confirmed any of those labels, or the meanings and rankings ascribed to them or anything else relating to them. I also realized that I had never heard any of the group members mention them or ascribe any significance to them.
