- In this free art lesson watercolor artist Nancy Couick will demonstrate the steps, tips and techniques she uses to paint a dog's face.
This is a 3 part series and in Part 1 Nancy discusses the colors used and she uses only two-Cobalt Blue and Burnt Sienna. Nancy also adds a wash of water and a layer of grey over the drawing in Part 1 plus values.

My mixture of (Windsor and Newton) cobalt and burnt s looks greenish grey, while your looks purplish-grey. Why is this?
