    Great Video. This is the most comprehensive overview I have seen so far. I hope you can release some videos when you have your R5ii explaining your preferred settings when shooting video. I really struggled with the original R5 video codecs and would like to know more about the new codecs in the Mark ii. Anyway, thank you for taking the time to put this video together.

    Thank David for this DETAILED review of Canon R5 II. It’s SAD that these days camera manufacturers justify their price increase by adding flashy but IMPRACTICAL features like upscaling jpg files to 180 megapixels! Why don’t Sony and Canon add ANTI THEFT feature & 32 BIT FLOAT internal audio recording to their cameras? That will help the majority of camera users who are solo shooters. Panasonic LUMIX GH7 already has 32 bit float. All the pros know audio is worth 50% of their videos. If the audio is bad, then the video is useless.

    Hello, like everyone " oh no 4K 60p" well 120p isn't eather and personaly as not every framerate are oversampled I like canon move to display all in non oversampled mode, so better rolling shutter and you can match 120p with 24 or 100p with 25 shure it is not the best but for what I said I can'T complained. Because I have a B roll probleme of continuity on my Z8 and 60p oversampled well it overheat quick and I can't do a non oversample 24P roll so!
    So what you think about camera files name is yours, so don't bitch on that it is nice, few like you want there video to continu by the name of photos, and I think I know that it is better for the amera to separate the two. Have had bugs on my R3 that continuously got back to 959 and created many folders. At least here bugs wouldn't mess photo and video.
    And that's not because you forget to search all your files that the naming of the r5 II is bad mainly that you should care much, you can't stand to back up files on a large project or muchly a cheap product set that rely on multiple cameras, "Oh no I can't backup to many file structures for many cameras" just think of it seprate folders is better no matter what

    • @davision-en
      @davision-en  Před měsícem

      I don't care about the same Naming Structure of the Photos, never mind, but saving every file into a different folder and a different subfolder depending on the codec you used will lead to missed files on Cards that can be easily overlooked and accidently formatted. If you have all your files in one Place, this will not happen.

Fuji, Pana, Nikon is so much easier. Why should I want another Folder and Subfolder for things I did shoot at the same day, same event, same project but just with a different codec, because for example I needed 4K 120 for one and 8K for the other.
