What highs and lows! Man what a turnaround! So stoked we got this going good and what most exciting is that there still more to wring out of it! I wanted to clear up something about the spark plugs, Liam and I cleaned them when but they are still the very old ones not new. This was the first time ever changed brands. Thank you guys for all the support with the shirts as merch so rad! I don’t have the budget to change the Engine management system on the legend at the moment. We are spread a bit thin with all the projects. So much new stuff up ahead and so excited for the ride! God bless you guys!!

What is the combo? It is impressive. Looks like the gen 2 LT1, or LT4 setup.
But what compression? Trans? Gearing? Stall? Stroked? Cam?
It looks like a bad ass street ride. Is it streetable.
I've always loved the C3 Corvettes, and currently building a 476 BBC for it. But u have always thought the C4 vettes make bad ass drag cars, and track cars. Great suspension setup, and they are lightweight @ 3000 pounds stock.
Lastly, can you touch on the super-oxygenated fuel? Always love how technical and detailed your videos are. All those little details matter, and make power.

What plugs are you running now and also the new plugs you tried? Where they a colder plug with a .036-0.40 gap?
Are you tuning the GM factory ECU in that car?

The Pump does more Volume with less Fuel Pressure, but probably the Injectors were the bottleneck. They only let so much through each time they Open, and more pressure puts more force behind it so you get more fuel for the same duty cycle :)

I forgot about the injectiors. I know He was talking about that last video. That would help along with copper plugs and possibly a upgraded spark ignition module to deliver more efficient spark to the plugs.
I think he mentioned he was gonna get them cleaned.

Had my nephew with me today, and he's a big fan (I later found out, didn't know we had that in common) and he quoted your son while riding in my '02 Disco II. It was a major pain, but we did a four wheel burnout for you guys. Thanks for all you do on the channel man, the other vets and I really appreciate it, and your videos definitely make their rounds in our vet charity pages. We're all huge fans.

Great stuff Jeremy, happy for you. My dad owned a large Texaco gas/repair garage/machine shop from the 50's-early70's. He sold one of his street/drag cars that I really wanted years ago. It was a 1957 Studebaker Golden Hawk with a supercharger from the factory. He did tons of mods having his own shop and machine shop. It was really fast too! It had the original Studebaker 289 V8 powerplant. What I would do to have that car in in my garage right now for my son and I to restore and have fun with.

That car will blister a stock C6 Z06. It's making about 50 more rwhp than a stock C6 Z.

Lovin it Fasterprom guys. 10 sec 350 small block n/a 90s Vette on almost pump gas. I had to add a big shot of nitros to my 86 trans am to get it into 10s. I’m impressed.

Jeremy, I totally understand your excitement! My dad passed away in 97 right before I graduated from high school. I have his guitars and they are among my most prized possessions. I take care of them and make them play and sound just like they were 22 years ago.

I love the C4 content! I'm 46 and thank God my Dad is still in my life and doing great. He and I actually pulled the E.C.U. out of my 1992 C4 convertible 6 speed today. Going to have to send it to a car computer repair specialist. I wish I could make serious power like you are making. 502 hp with the huge torque of an L98 is awsome. I wonder if a Procharger could about double my LT-1's 300 h.p. and still have it reliable?

When I was about 11 or 12 my friends dad had a vette about the same gen. It had a 4 speed with 3 overdrives which at that age I thought was outrageous, that was my first time in any car with 500 plus hp...great memories

I paused at 11:10 to write this, i have have feeeling the ol confuser system has a few slugs inside her somewhere, hence slowing your fathers and your hard work and passion down, it sat for a while from what i gather from the vids and from what i have seen in life the pre 'modern' stuff doesnt like sitting for long electrical wise.

Hey Jeremy that car sounds awesome. My Dad has a c4 that I have slowly been working on and the first thing that went wrong was the headlight gear stripped out and got stuck like that. Luckily they're not too hard to change out. Love the channel man keep up the good work

That's petty cool you have a big part of your fathers identity. My father is in hospice at the moment and doesn't have long to live. Maybe a week. Its a pretty crazy time in my life i have never lost someone this close to me before.
I will pretty much only have my memories of him to hold on to after he passes. I'm sure Dad is very happy for what you are doing and have become!

Ngks in a Nissan, Bosch in Mercedes, motorcraft in Ford's. I have the best luck with oem brand plugs, but I do substitute champions for the delcos in my AMC powered jeep. It seems to like them the best. Oh and GreAt Job!! Dad's vette is sweeeet!!

This is so cool. I'm a old basterd and love this N/A deal. Going that fast with a N/A small block is hard. Several people have worked very hard and have a lot to be proud of.

It was pretty cool to stumble upon The Legend's build series. I picked up an 85 C4 for $4k a few weeks ago and think the L98 is a pretty cool, yet misunderstood engine.
I love wrenching on stuff that most others would just rip out in favor of an LS. It just makes a quick car stand out that much more and people can really appreciate the work that went into it.
CONGRATS!! if you're still having issues with it missing, try the rev limiter chip. My cousins Nava had an issue like that and he changed the rev limiter chip out with a new one, and it fixed his issue.
Awesome stuff Jeremy. I'm sure you're Dad is looking down on you guys with a big smile on his face. I'm absolutely floored to see an N/A L98 put 500 to the wheels. When I grew up and started racing in the late 90s into the early 2000s the L98 was always the butt end of a car joke. Obviously your Dad knew how to build a motor, and combine that with you guys working your magic on it, that's one L98 that's anything but a joke.

Great to see it back at the track. BTW have u check valve springs pressure? Valve float sometimes mask as plugs on high end. Have u try different gaps? Maybe close the gap on plugs.

I few years a few friends and I installed stainless steel long tube headers from eBay and changed the plugs to NGKs on my 95 Z28 LT1 Made huge difference in the way it ran!! 💪😊

This is awesome, keep up the classic build. So much more interesting than just another LS Swap! If you're going to swap anything, try finding a ZR1 engine (the 90's one) or something similar.

Jeremy, Have you checked the motor ground straps and eprom / ECU grounding? Also check that the battery ground has a good and CLEAN connection to frame / body. The break up could be caused by loose grounds or corrosion underneath the ground straps. I'd suggest taking off the old grounding wires to the motor and eprom / ECU and create new leads / straps. This might solve your issues. Why I'm suggesting this...…. When you reply the video it looks like your tail lights flicker when you're at the higher RPM's. I think the motor and ignition is pulling to much ground through old connections. I speak from a little experience as I worked for a company which created wiring harness for race cars.

I wish I could have shown my father this video. He was a street/drag racer. His 69 Camero was the fastest in the area. Lost him a few years ago. He was a super gearhead. I still hear stories of pulling wheelies in town back in the 70's from people in town. DO IT FOR DAD!

I am so glad to see a 700R4 hold that power... I bought one about 6 years ago from Summit and its a TCI and supposed to hold 600HP. After I told everyone what I bought they had me thin king I had made a huge mistake. Jeremy you have given me hope again. The other part I LOVE is you are making that power with a LT small block again the same thing I have. SO what I am saying is THANK YOU for all you do. I love the channel and your Dogs

Any chance the breakup is because you're putting so much fuel in the cylinders that you dont have enough energy in the spark to ignite the liquid? I know methanol dragsters run massive coils for that reason.
