It’s weird that they’re the same age, yet seem to be from such different generations.
Taron *did* say he feels like he was born in the wrong generation, after all. But she kind of brings out the millennial in him, which is why I think they were a good match for Actors on Actors.

Why?? He was decent but really, you think he was one of the five best male lead performances of the entire year? Even Kang-ho Song from Parasite put out a better performance. I’m not trying to hate on Taron’s performance, it was good but I feel like these days everyone’s so flippant on pronouncing a performance as Oscar-worthy just because the film they were in is popular.
@@makeminemovies The film wasn't as popular as Bohemian Rhapsody and I like Rocketman better than that. Parasite isn't in my country yet so I wouldn't know. Taron does an outstanding job at portraying Elton and singing all the songs himself. People have had Oscar nominations in history for far less

Despite seeming like such opposites in terms of personality, one thing Taron and Nora (Awkwafina is not her real name just so y'all know) are both so raw and genuine. That's why I can really see them working together in the future. I'd love to see them play love interests in a witty film about two realistically flawed people.

The fact that they both won a Golden Globe the first time they were nominated, but were snubbed at the Oscars, also makes me think they're destined to do something together. I mean, they already have Dark Crystal, but I really hope they play lovers in a rom-com. It would be so great. I trust that these two wouldn't go with a cookie-cutter, formulaic rom-com.

I think they're both wonderful, talented, and diverse actors. Their conversation was real and earnest. Unlike most of the childish comments below, I don't feel the need to criticize Awkwafina's name or acting credentials, because at the end of the day she is a musical artist, actor, comedian, and author. 'The Farewell' was brilliant, and her performance profound and moving. Her skills are wide-ranging, and I can't wait to see more from her.
I do wish Taron Egerton to get a nomination for his role in Rocketman, he deserves it.

The Farewell punched me in the gut! My Grandma is sick and near death so watching that hurt but also was therapeutic in a way.

I really enjoyed this because we’re always watching them answer questions about themselves in interviews so it’s really interesting to see them ask questions of their peers. Taron’s questions for Awkwafina were interesting and well thought out

This was an absolutely adorable video. The interview was very dynamic, both actors getting to know each others favorite pastimes and experiences and interests in the acting world. I felt like I was watching a very cozy interview, with Taron looking his best with no socks :)

Yessss, finally two people that I think would have an amazing conversation!! Sometimes they put together two people that are just so similar I have no interest in watching, and sometimes they pair people of SUCH vast differences in experience level in the industry that it feels like one person may not respect
Examples of similar people: Kristen Stewart and Shia Labeouf, Chris Evans and Scarlett Jo, etc.

She was the lead actress but was nominated for best supporting actress and won.. As an actor you can decide if you would like to be put forward for best supporting or best actress or both then The Academy will decide if your to be selected and what category your placed in.
