- This video compares a diamond, moissanite and white sapphire to showcase the difference in refraction or "sparkle"!
There are some great white stone options on the market today, however, replicating the shimmer of a diamond, natural or lab-grown, is no easy task.
Moissanite is a clear and sparkly stone, with the scintillation (rainbow sparkles) of a natural diamond. It is the best diamond simulant (made to look like) option on the market today.
White Sapphire is commonly seen in inexpensive engagement rings on the internet. However, because of its refractive index, it does not have the scintillation (rainbow sparkles) of a diamond. What that means is as the stone gets dirty (like within a week or two of showers and hand washings), it will start to appear dull and lifeless. While there are a couple other natural options besides white sapphire, white sapphire is the only natural option that Krikawa recommends for a white diamond alternative stone.

I just learned about white sapphire and I am impressed
"Shine white like a diamond" isn't even correct, it's more like "Shine white like white sapphire"
I think for mens jewelry white saphire would work best. however I like that moissanite has so much fire and I think for rings it would be the best choice. diamonds seem to be right in between saphire and moissanite in terms of fire
You can keep the dull white sapphire.
I’m sticking with Diamond
I really like the white sapphire
This is good video! I have all of them, but they are all beautiful in its own way.
Moissanite isn’t a diamond simulant, it’s a diamond alternative 🫶🏻 it’s a naturally occurring gem that we have learned to grow in the lab, but it’s as real as lab diamonds. CZ is a simulant as it’s a fake diamond. Moissanites are beautiful in all their glory!
Ugh the moissanite 😍
All moissanite er lab created stones
@@sinner3166 and?
@@sinner3166because if it was in its natural Form it was cost way more than a diamond
@@WoWGirl6 it doesn't have the energies that REAL diamonds have, as everyone knows that diamonds have absorbed the blood of the orphans used to mine it.
@@MrPicklesAndTea for me thats sad.
That moissanite is very pretty
Thanks it’s helpful
The white sapphire is just right
White diamond.❤👍😇💫
Moissanite seems very distracting to look at after awhile. Its bright but not something I would want to stare at all day. White sapphire is very low key. I prefer the diamond for a center piece but Moissanite earrings all day
You would think but man I cant get over moissanite. I only wear metal jewelry but i decided to buy a cheap 5 carat moissanite off amazon for like 50 dollars and Ive literally been staring at it for days under different lighting. Maybe when it comes to jewelry you actually wear and show off its a different story but the stone itself is mesmerizing
White saphire is colorless , sparkle white light only !! I most prefer see rainbow colors , for me diamond or moissanite are better
Gotta love those rainbows of color!
It’s not that the sapphire isn’t beautiful, it just looks dull in comparison
The moissanite flows like water
Everything a woman needs right she doesn't want the guy 😂
i like the moissanite but it doesn't have the charm of being a natural stone like sapphire and diamond
It is a natural stone though.
Mere paas asha hi hai daimond koy parti hai

I love the silver tint of the smooth white sapphire the best. The diamond and Moissanite are overpriced and too flashy.
If you want a ring in moissanite in less than people are selling a 1ct moissanite. I'll give you a ring with a 1ct moissanite or any design you want for so cheap it will blow your socks off
True, I like white sparkle over color!
Uh…. what?? Moissanite is the cheapest of the three, the diamond is the only overpriced one
I think white sapphire is more expensive than moissanite. Moissanite is the cheapest of the selection here
This cannot be white sapphire
Are those blood gems?
I couldn't tell you when it comes to the diamond or sapphire but the moissanite there definitely is not. Moissanite is extremely rare found in nature and way too small so all jewelry you find with moissanite is lab grown. 100% ethical!
@@lisslevimolly Oh no, I need soul stones to power my weapons.

Without getting to nerdy..
In this video you are only grading the cut of the stones. If a stone is cut and polished really precise, the fire and sparkle will increase. The material has nothing to do with these criteria.
The difference in the material only plays a role in the price and quality/longevity. A diamond lasts forever. A moissanite can be scratched and therefore lose its spark over the years.
