    I played sax for eight years in school. I love the saxophone. But as I’ve grown older, I’ve come to realize that even though the saxophone is a more complicated instrument, the trumpet is capable of producing a much more sophisticated sound that is imbued with much subtlety and nuance. And on the lips of Wynton, it’s stunning, simply wonderful

      I wouldn’t say the saxophone is a more complicated instrument, unless you’re referring to the instrument itself and it’s mechanics

    Do you have to change your Monette every few years? Or do you wait untilll they find something big before switching?

    Does anyone know the chord changes to this piece?

    • @MelodiousThunk
      @MelodiousThunk Před 7 lety +2

      Judging by the melody and bass line, and assuming it's in 2/4, the chords in the head seem to be: F (4 bars), Bb (4 bars), Eb (5 quavers), Dm (5 quavers), C (3 crochets), F (3 bars). For the solos, it seems to switch to: F | F | F | F | Bb | Bb | Bb | Bb | Eb | Eb | Dm | Dm | Gm | C | F Dm | Gm C . Add harmonic extensions as you see fit.
