i feel like this sounded kinda dramatic lol oh well also for someone who doesnt collect anymore ive got a lot of videos based on pc collecting and unboxings planned lol
I have kept a good mindset about collecting (in my opinion) since the start and even before. I only collect the things I truly want and if I don’t enjoy a groups concept etc from an album I simply don’t collect it. As of right now I have just moved out of my parents home and on Monday I start university. I don’t know what the future holds but my decision of only collecting what I want has made things so fun and helped me so much during comebacks etc. Makes it more fun you know ^^
ah this is so💔 but same thing here, it’s why I stopped making videos as well, I dropped every single collection, and though I miss the idea of opening an album and being surprised, I’ve got other priorities! I hope that once I’m stable again I can go back and recollect ☺️
its sad dropping a collection when youve worked so hard on it but you definitely know when its the right time to stop even if its sad😔ahh yess hopefully one day you will be able to recollect!!🥰 i doubt i ever will collect again but i will probably buy some albums to support my faves at some point bc thats what i find most exciting!! 😊
I understand you a lot! Recently, I've been asking myself how my connection to kpop in general would look like without the collecting aspect. I started collecting not even a year ago and the time and money that went into it is shocking to me. I collect mainly nct (skz/bts on the side) and it really can stress me out during comebacks. Every time I try to distance myself from collecting, especially since I'm a college student without a stable income I don't have the financial means to afford collecting/buying albums, I feel like I need to 'catch up quickly', even though I know it's not true :/ I'm sorry about your bad experience with GOs, I hope it'll all figure out eventually and that you don't need to worry about your orders anymore! xx
i think a lot of people when they start collecting dont fully realise just how much time and money often goes into it so taking a step back and suddenly realising how much youve spent is a bit of a shock!! i loved collecting nct it honestly might've been my favourite collection but yeah they can be very expensive and a lot of cards are so hard to find, plus with the amount of comebacks they have among all the units and stuff it can be so hard to keep up!! unfortunately the 'i must catch up quickly' mindset is very hard to shake even when you tell yourself you dont have to :( whatever you decide, i hope you manage to figure out what you want to do with your collection and find a way to enjoy it again :) xx

You always think ‘it’s just a 7€ pc’ but suddenly you buy 10 pcs and it’s not so fun anymore 🥲 I agree, collecting nct is really a pain due to the comebacks and the general overpricing that happens, for example selling pcs of the latest comeback for 10-12€ is just really expensive imo but I see it happening a lot :// Yeah, I think fomo is real in the trading community and not easy to overcome :( thank you for your kind words!!
I collect mostly albums and the photocards i like, i don't stick with one member or group, i just buy what i like and sometimes i don't even buy some albums

I also stopped collecting BTS, because I don’t Stan them anymore (no hate). But I don’t want to waste the photocards, I still yet have no chance of selling or trading. For now I’m keeping my collection, still don’t know what to do with them :/
Same! I found I just don’t enjoy them like I used to, and when I found Enhypen (I’m a pre-debut Engene), I just knew that they were the one group for me. So I rly stopped keeping up with BTS and now only collect Enha + a little bit of TXT. But like you, I have no idea what to do with my old collection. I could sell or trade but I’m not sure??
I don’t know if you’ll see this, but I’ve been taking a break for almost a year now, and I feel exactly like how you do. Can I ask what was your process for selling, bc right now when I look at my collection and all the money I spent it just makes me sad, and miss the old days where I had fun and cherished it. Like you said I miss the surprise. Lowkey I part of me wants to go back to my original pcs I pulled, but another part of me I just want to drop, so did you get rid of each pc? Or kept a couple? What do you reccomend? Cause right now I feel just like you
Bc personally, I even lacked motivation to go out to sell them, like I would but then I lacked motivation to package and send. Which made me even more anxious. How did you deal with anxiety when selling a massive amount of items? Because I am getting very overwhelmed trying to
i think it really depends on how you feel like if there’s ones you’re not sure you want to sell then start by selling the ones you know you won’t want anymore! then as more time goes by you’ll probably know better which ones (if any!) you want to keep! in terms of selling them, i get very anxious sometimes too so i usually just prioritise and put them ufs in small batches instead of putting lots up at once bc that means there will be less dms to reply to and less to package, and if i become extra anxious i just archive the posts until im feeling better! honestly its been so long since i stopped collecting but recently ive been buying a few albums and keeping my pulls and also keeping some of my favourite pcs from fan call entries - ill never go back to fully collecting or having a wish list or buying/trading on insta with other sellers, but keeping some of the ones i just happen to pull is fun! hope this helps :)
