- The final form of Primordial Darkness, be prepared for a great fight, and a great music!! However, story quest doesn't have the transition part to The Whole New World music at the end, should come with the Emergency Quest in September. Anyway, enjoy! ^^
EDIT (Feb 05 2021) : i finally corrected a problem with the font where if you used it in Word or other programs like that, the customized single quote wasn't working, also made sure double quotes aren't gonna cause trouble too, and one custom character was always replaced by custom opening/closing double quote so i moved it to a reverse quote char, so you can now access it in Word and other programs. PLS REDOWNLOAD the font from the link if you want the new one, i've kept the same exact name so those who already took it can replace it instead of dealing with 2 different fonts ^^

If even the Akashic Records cannot contain such knowledge, then who's to say other Darknesses won't arise? Whatever the case, the tale of this endless battle between ARKS and the agents of the profound darkness has at last met its conclusion.

the primordial darkness is not the profound darkness that was a botched creation of the oracle universe. it exists aslong as their are photons and and probably exists in every universe not just the arks universe. its unfathomable to guess even what it isand could even exist outside of existance. dark falz has always been labled a god/entity. what do you call a being that created gods? how can you fathom its existance. you cant
@@drakologarnus7248 I will bring this up cuz I want to, but in Shin Megami Tensei, there is a "Creator that creates Gods" known as the Universal Will. I guess we can fathom the existance of such a concept, but I may be wrong.
@@drakologarnus7248 Actually it's not. The Primordial Darkness is in fact the original Profound Darkness that was created by the Photoners way back when. It's given a different name to differentiate it from the Profound Darkness we fought in Episode 3. According to side material for Episode 6, the latter is actually just a collective fusion of the original four Dark Falz. In essence it's the exact same thing capable of the same basic feats, but the origin is different.
At the end of Episode 6, the Primordial Darkness gets killed off hence why it's brought up that the Falspawn are actually dying out as there's nothing supporting their existence anymore. With that said, it's always possible that another Profound Darkness can rise up, but how that happens is anyone's guess as it took a Xion clone, a being connected to the Akashic Records, being corrupted by the sins of an entire species that caused the original to manifest.

Love how the first bit is Matoi, Hitsugi and Hariette singing their graditute to Ash for all he's done for them, and now their returning him saving them. Of course our stubborn boy, Ash also gotta sing his thanks to them as well. XD Ahh, Sega cheese at it's best but that's what makes it good.

This song: melody is amazing, the lyrics are full of tons of affirmation, not just of made up lyrics, but of facts from Your Endeavors in the game, just listening to it should give you chills, even though you have no time while trying not to die a million deaths from TPD but just listening to it now let's you know this is the grand finally and this if not any time in the game is your time to shine! First time I played this i was dressed up as what I can only explain as "purified persona the masked", with the regular coat edge sword camo and the darkest cyan possible for hair color in the game, it was just me and 3 other guys, and damn was it epic

- Hitsugi wields Ame no Murakamo, a legendary weapon in Japanese mythology that (among other things) slew Orochi and can control fundamental forces of nature, like the wind.
- Matoi wields Clarissa, a weapon that once held a connection to Xion, who had literal omniscience.
- Hariette is such an unflinching badass that she hits Sodam with enough power to stun him for several seconds.

Theory: Harriet represents the Mirror of Yata (referenced by her involvement in Shiva's creation) which embodies Wisdom, Matoi represents the Yasakani Magatama which embodies Benevolence (referenced by Matoi's soft personality), and then of course Hitsugi's sword which represents Valor.

pso2ngs can't top this yet
Even just being on par, isn't something remotely easy to do, it would be very hard, mainly dues to the fact there are like 50 instruments to manage/compose/direct/record/edit/mix, and they were multiple composers to do this one. So it's not something many games music or bands, can get on par with let alone top it. But honestly what is there even to top? It's one of those case where you can only be equal to it in a different way, then it becomes a matter of subjective tastes :P At any rate it would take a long time to reach this state of art music for NGS, though they got a few very good ones already
Aegis is good, but Dark to Light is actual final boss so the feeling is way different.
the one thing really going for ngs music atm is that there lyrics aren't (at least as obviously) translated from japanese to english, so there's no weird stretching and compressing of syllables

So where is the urgent quest theme with the alternative ending to the theme
I didn't take care of it, i was busy chasing the 50 TPD kills title for the Cras stone, then i needed a break. On top of that it didn't help the "new" final part was the old EP1 opening music, so when i came back to PSO2 later on, i did feel like this version i've put was just overall better as it got a new variant of TWNW, instead of an already existing one lol. So in the end, it wasn't a priority, even if it means you don't get to listen to the transition part.
I may put it eventually, it's not like there will be new music until NGS, i just can't tell when for sure, aside from "before NGS comes out".

You know, when I first heard this song in NGS I was turned away becasue I hadn't beaten Oracle's story yet and couldn't understand the lyrics. Now, after having played through Oracle firsthand and learning the lyrics I find myself singing this song in my head randomly... I don't know where the story of NGS is going to go, or if the Starless is really our final enemy or there's something lurking out in the cold void more fearsome than Sodam. Whatever SEGA has planned for us in the far off future, I hope they can make the final battle of NGS's soundtrack have as much hype as this one and even surpass it. Dark Falz's ost is a promising start at least.

i really hope the starless aren't our final enemy (and the story does seem to imply that there's more to them). every real villain in base pso2 had character and personality. zephetto was good in that department, but he immediately left.
@spark9189 You and me both. They're cool in concept, but obviously just a reskin and slightly tweaked version of enemies AI we've already faced with the Dolls. Which, to give SEGA credit, they took their laziness in enemy design and gave an actual in-universe reason for the copy-paste between Starless and Dolls, but still. I want to see some cool concepts that aren't "stretchy, glowy enemies that get angry and change colors," and some well-written, intimidating, and idea-challenging big-boss style villains like Shiva and Zephetto were. There's a whole universe out there, and I still refuse to believe that NGS and base aren't directly connected and that some of Oracle besides R-ARKS survived.

Hold up, isn't there a version that is female vocals only? Does it depends on your character's gender?
This upload got all 3 variants, except the intro that has only 1 variant, their occurence is based on how much HP left Sodam (not counting Gomo fusion) has : over 75% is the female vocals, between 75 and 50% is male vocals, and 50% or less is both vocals. Character gender does nothing to the music

Pour one out for PSO2
There are only 2 little things i dont like about this Boss:
1.) Shiva was far stronger and much more dangerous
2.) The first form was what i expected the Profound Darkness to be......and then in phase two it shrinks down into its true form.....underwhelming.
But besides that a solid fight even tho Phase 1 is boring as fuck. :D
Do it in the solo runs in the Ultimate Quests and see easy xD
Play the UQ or Trigger version of Primordial. You then get a real final boss fitting of the main story. Story mode Primordial would be harder otherwise. UQ/Trigger has 3 phases
