- Two years ago when we met Diljit Dosanjh, a few weeks before the release of Udta Punjab, he spoke about how he was happy doing limited roles in Bollywood - only characters he identified with. Now, post the release of his latest film Soorma, which is a biopic on former Indian hockey captain Sandeep Singh, the actor says he feels more prepared to take on more challenges on screen. He also tells us about being looked at as a style icon and how he can't help himself from spending money on designer clothes and shoes. We also learn about the unlikely inspirations of his successful music videos High End and El Sueno and his tryst with private jets.

Diljit treats people based on how they treat him. This is a good personality trait. If the interviewer is rude and cocky, Diljit doesn’t open up. Good man.

Rajan Thind I see what you mean but don't you find it hypocritical how the same people that protested against him, danced to the song at weddings and other functions? Anyways aren't there more important things that need to be protested againt besides a set of lyrics? Diljit was not even given a chance to apologize. But at the end of the day he handled the situation properly and hasn't looked back ever since.

Only Diljit could have opened the doors for turbanator sikhs in Hindi Cinema because he is already an established star in punjab and has incredible fan following there. Plus he can sing, perform, dance, act quite well. And also he is so funny and cool just like Ranveer Singh. And he's got amazing marketing sense and knows how to promote himself through social media. I don't think there is any other sikh actor who could have got this kind of acceptance in bollywood because no other sikh actor has the kind of fan following that he has. The whole package of singer, actor, performer plus cool and funny guy makes him unique and his fan following in punjab market will always help him to survive in bollywood. He may not be able to become a big A-listed star in bollywood but no-one can stop him from getting films 😁 Haters may burn 🔥
