I always imagine there's a charity shop near Cherry's house that's just fall of random Harry Potter stuff and the old ladies working there have no clue what it is 😀
The old ladies probably are very knowledgeable about Harry Potter, it was our kids that first got into it.
The whistle is a boatswain's pipe. It's used on naval ships and submarines for communication and to alert crew to the fact that an officer is coming aboard. They're normally a bit longer and silver.
It’s called a bosun’s whistle. They’re used for piping folx on and off ships which is why so many have anchors.
A salve is an ointment that has herbs added to it to give it medicinal properties.
And it's pronounced "saaalve", not "solve"!
A salve is essentially something you apply to your skin to heal it. Salves can be a cream, ointment or balm. Salves are made out of waxes and oils to make a material that is semi-solid, they do not need to have herbs added.
The whistle was a very cool item. I like it when boxes have items that are known but not made a lot. I see tons of time turner replica and although it is pretty and I like them, too many people make them so it sort of loses excitement to see them. I'm completely over the jewelry and stickers with Harry's glasses and the lightning bolt too. So to include that whistle that makes such a small appearance in the HP world is nice. I would like to see a good replica of the Scabbers goblet come in one of the subscription boxes or for Noble Collection to make one that is licensed.
I think they nailed the artwork in this box. The tree is beautiful, the map is amazing and so are the book covers. I even really love the pin - the view from the Slytherin common room. Super strong box but what were they thinking with that Mandrake? It did bring it down a notch - but still a lovely box and the first time I've thought that it would be worth having one of their boxes!
The salve really works! I got bitten by some ants, and it soothed them right up! The mandrake would look better if YOU would unkrinkle his leaves and show it some love! ❤ The reason the Naval symbol was on most of the whistles is because it is a boatswain's whistle from the US Navy and other countries. It is used on deck for communication. The box was excellent and the binder did not disappoint!
I can't get enough of the book covers personally. I have just started finding random books I own that the covers will fit.
I really like the book covers because I can see using them for book binding home made journals or sketchbooks
The thestral necklace is so pretty! I'd probably dry brush it with a touch of silver leaf to bring out those details.
I loved the Ford Anglia, the print of the whomping willow, the map of the forbidden forest, the unicorn blood, and the key to the owlery.❤️❤️ Here in the states, salve is like the first syllable in 'savage' and it is a balm or ointment. 😘
I def agree there's been alot of book covers and if you get these boxes EVERY month it can get overwhelming. However, they are beautifully done and if you're someone who can only afford to get boxes now and then...the bookcovers are probably much appreciated.
The pins you could cut the pin part off and make a magnet out of it for your fridge. Love all the videos you do. Like when CZcamsrs do vlog videos you get to know people a bit. Thank you for putting content out your doing awesome 😊

Salve is kind of just another word for ointment or lotion/balm, and it's usually used for products that are meant for wounds or abrasions, I think. Since it's usually like a healing type thing. We have a similar word in Afrikaans, spelled "Salf" that means the same.

As a zookeeper, I’m going to guess that someone has trained the unicorn to provide volunteer blood draws!
The google definition of Salve is: "an ointment used to promote healing of the skin or as protection"

Id you want to wear the whistle you can because it would make a fantastic safety whistle to blow when you are in danger or someone is following you.
The whistle is actually a copy of a 19th century bosun’s whistle. Thats why they usually have an anchor on it. They are still in use in the Royal Navy. The maritime replicas are a little longer and sound better. Woth a bit of practise you could do all kinds of signals
A salve is thicker and stickier than a balm. Here we have prid a salve that will pull out splinters or other things in the skin. It’s amazing!!!

It was hot and humid as heck when I got my box and the unicorn blood cork rose nearly completely out of the bottle..luckily the box it came in absorbed all the liquid so everything else was safe. They were so cool and shipped me a new potion straight away! Brilliant company
I love the book covers. Is it hard to use them all with a lot? Sure! But they DO fit other books if your goal is to just have a magical library without just using them on the same set of books.
A tidy and reorganize of the shelves would definitely be a fun video to watch!
about unicorn blood - fanfics taught me that you need to be of a pure heart and ask an unicorn if you can have a little bit of blood xD

Ethically sourced unicorn blood could be gathered the same as a blood drive is here in the US. Vets also use donor blood from animals!
Wizarding Trunk is still my fav box! An occasional miss, but everything else has solid design and execution.

That's what I thought too. I mean we do the same for human blood for surgeries and stuff like that so it must be possible to do the same with magical creatures.
You could frame the book covers or put them on non-Harry Potter books to build your library.
The bookcover looks gorgeous but I agree that they are getting a bit old. You can only use so many of them and it would be nice to see something new.
Also I just wanna say I really like that you started to show the complete haul of everything that was in the box in the end! It's a great way to get an overview of all the items again. ❤️

Cherry you could actually Mount the pin into a shadow box or a picture box and then decorate around it.

The book covers, they could create notebooks with them as the covers instead. You can do gatefolds on paperback books, and print on the inside covers. So really nice paperback notebooks with really thick, foiled card stock for the covers, complete with the flaps like the jackets and printed endpapers on the inside of the covers, could be a really good way of revamping them. (And it means you can create a magical textbook shelf.) For added visual interest for the collection as a whole, they could make some thicker than others.

You could use the book covers for putting it on a plain dairy covers and honestly I really loved the designs of the book covers

I would suggest get in a corkboard and put a pretty fabric on the top of the corkboard and creating a display for all of your beautiful pens and then what’s the bags put them in a special container attached to the corkboard
(This is just of what it looks like) the madam hooch whistle design is based of a broom with a golden snitch under it

The whistle is a bosuns whistle. Its for use on ships and you can get some awesome antique ones, so those ones with anchors aren't Harry Potter Replicas they're just replicas of original antique navy equipment 😂😂

Yes, salve is like a balm. Another word for "a healing mixture for the skin" really.
If anyone wants to make one of those magical liquids ( unicorn blood ) you can just mix some acrylic paint with water and put that water in a bottle, and it will look exactly like the magical liquid thingy
I agree about the book cover. My first thought when you opened was that is cool but what book is left to cover.Really liked the Madam Hooch whistle.i would frame the dark forest map and hang it. Salve ...the l is silent and it has a long A. Nice box. You are always so fun to listen too.
