Last night I cooked sort of between Refrigerated and Frozen and set the timer for 12 minutes. Turned out really nice & tender. 😀
Parchment paper was the life hack I've always needed, but never knew until right now. Thank you
You are welcome, Benjamin
You don’t need parchment paper, all you have to do is this. After you purchase the chicken from the supermarket while it is still thawed, put it in the freezer for 30 to 90 minutes, one separated from the other (maybe in a ziplock bag) . After theyget semihard go back separate it in the bag again and let it freeze overnight. The following morning, they should be rockhard, and if they are touching a little bit a simple drop on the floor will separate them. Put them back in the freezer and they will never fuse together.
Good tip, thanks
It works great when you buy bacon too. Just lay them all spread out on a sheet and roll it up, freeze, then take out individual slices as needed.
@@ifoodreal how much pressure cook time for frozen breast?
Don't you feel irritated when hair strands come over the faces and eyes 😋
You did an amazing job and the chicken came out amazing. A little tip you bout have season the chicken before add it into the instant pot. Lemon pepper season is good also.
I’m treating everyone at office to TACO TUESDAY tomorrow and this is PERFECT for the chicken. THANK YOU!!!

Oh my goodness!!! Being full time rving this is absolutely amazing!!! Thank you for sharing this amazing recipe!!!
Our pleasure!
So glad to learn about parchment paper! Chicken will be great too
I chuckled at the garlic thing. So true :)
this works well too by adding other tasty and healthy things to the water. i added a splash of low sodium soy sauce, apple cider vinegar and a halved onion and carrot to rest my chicken on as i don't have the rack!
Sounds good:) as long as it helps!
I like to add chicken broth instead of water, or water mixed with bbq sauce 😃
Does this only work if you don't have the rack?
Love this video! Helpful and entertaining.
Awesome, Thanky!!!!
Nice video. Just bought an Instant Pot. Thanks!!
Adding 1/4 cup of beer (because I already started following different recipe, but then looked at yours and liked it more) and 3/4 cup water. Keeping fingers crossed it is going to come out as good as yours! Thank you for explaining the process so well!
How's it go with the 🍻?
Yeah man. We’re over here waiting to see how it turned out.

Nothing extraordinary - beer worked just as well on its own too. Has to be flat beer obv

Great video
i had bought a insta pot a while ago and never used it, that is until today, i made lemon pepper chicken and omg it was incredible. for super im going to use your recipe. would this work for a roast or wings as well?? great video
I recommend to check all my instant pot recipes here and there you will see roast and others you might like ifoodreal.com/healthy-instant-pot/
There are many videos out there. I have used my IP countless times and never even opened the owner's manual.
love the video
Thank you so much!
My first attempt resulted in a "burn" message;-) When I tried another day on 6 minutes - it worked. Possibly I didn't have enough water first time round? To make the chicken softer will try 7 minutes next time. It's called the Learning Curve!
Yes possibly. Don’t see any other reason. Or malfunctioning pot. Exactly. Glad you have the right attitude. Merry Christmas!
I'm with you, Bud...making my first tonight...I will try until I get it soft & juicy(fresh not frozen.) :)
Made this tonight, made the best chicken breast and broth ever!
So happy to hear!
Debs way channel brought me to the #instapot, which brought me to your channel. I just bought a new one and have not used it yet. I have also subscribed, thank you.
Lemon pepper is the absolute best for chicken!
Thank you for this. I reference your video to know what the heck I'm doing. Haven't made it so much so, that I have it down yet.
So glad I can help! Thank you for watching ❤
😂😂😂 she was so nervous when they were doing the taste test. He even said “mmmm” 😂😂😂
👍For parchment paper freezer tip.
Excellent video . Thanks.
Thank you Ronald!
Contrary to established theory, I found that the breasts take longer to cook when on a trivet than when submerged in the liquid. Going by recommended time they get to about 148 F on the trivet. Another minute, again with full release brings them up to proper temperature 161F-168F. When cooked in the liquid the lesser time works. You're actually steaming the breasts when on the trivet while braising or poaching is done in the liquid.
Interesting! I always get the best results for this specific recipe with my trivet :D
I'm going to use your cooking time tonight for thawed breast making chicken tacos.
Thanks for the video :)
You are welcome 🙏
Can you cook more than two at a time? What if they touch?
thak you:)
Great video!!! I tried it but my instead of 2 ckn breasts I put in 5. I added 1 min , 11 instead of 10. Im new to the IP so maybe Im just not totally familiar with its operation. The IP did not time it, it just said "ON". I timed it with my own timer. There was no ding, or timer going off on the IP so checked it after 11 -12 minutes and the ckn was only half cooked. Is that because of the over DBL portion? I put it back in for 5 more mins, still no timer went off so I checked it, still pink inside but better. Hmmmm, they were thawed, am I doing something wrong?? Thanks again for the great video! Keep em coming!! I ended up cooking them once again for 6 more min, on high pressure as you directed. Thx
Timer should start in any IP. How long did u wait and what model you have? After On it takes 10-20 mins before timer starts.
@@ifoodreal I have the Duo SV model, bought it several months ago at costco. I noticed once you pressed pressure cook and entered the time, there was no.... then press start! Confusing, then it just says ON, I would think it'd start timing it right away no? So it actually has to warm up first for 10-20 mins? If thats so, woulnt it take 30 mins and not 10? Thanks so much!!
No start button. It starts on its own and warms up when it says ON and the countdown begins. Yes it is more like 20-30 mins total cook time. This might help ifoodreal.com/instant-pot-guide/
I made chicken in my IP last night and it was awesome, add some spices popped on the lid for 20 min, who knew? lol 😂
Yay love it!
Thank you Kind Madame. :)
You're most welcome!
thanks for the video
You are welcome:)
Feel like I’m dancing in a club stuffing my face with chicken breast.
will my chicken brest come out tender on slow cook? what should I do?
Ya'll are just too cute!
Where is your lovely accent from? It kind of reminds me of my old roommate's accent and he was from Москва.

NICE !! MAKE ENCHILADAS :)
Yes Melvin, it's on the list:) Thanks
I am making tonight , I love my instapot :)
Why would you not season the beast before putting it in the pot🤔 no marinating time🙈
I would assume that's your choice to marinate the chicken. Some people don't like it that way, but it depends on what recipe you're cooking the chicken for.
I always marinade before hand. I think she was just going for a very basic demonstration.
Thank you. I just received my Duo Plus 9 in 1. The Pressure Cook button is on the upper left. I tried cooking chicken breast. 🙄I couldn’t figure it out for 6 hours & had to throw them away. Don’t judge. After watching you press the buttons, I figured out what I did wrong. I pressed “start” after the minutes set. I see in reality, I was pressing “delay start” 🤦🏽♀️Ugh!!
Oh my goodness, that would drive me crazy. Yes, you press Pressure Cook and time and nothing else. There is no Start button. Next time it will work!!!
She’s saying it’s not dry but guaranteed that chicken is beyond dry.
@iFOODreal - Instant Pot Recipes when to use the poultry mode? isnt that meant for the chicken?
Just a factory preset. All poultry requires different cook time.
Had my instant pot for 2+ years. I never use those buttons. Just set the time and use the pressure cook or manual button, whatever your pot says. Not all instant pot have the exact same Your recipe will tell you the time or you will come to find out yourself as you use it more and more what level of cooked you want a recipe. Like rice for example.

I heard “ we Ukrainians” and Instant_ly subscribed 🤗💕
Hi Oksana, thank you! You will not be disappointed:)))
iFOODreal , I’m sure of it ! Already made this recipe and ll be using as a stuffing for crepes ( just added fried onions and chopped boiled eggs) , it’s delicious! Chicken came out very tasty and succulent, thank u sooooo much , my ukrainian sister 😍👍👍👌👌👌🤗♥️🌹
Welcome! Wish I had a Ukrainian sister. :)
What's the difference
My mistake: I made this and got busy with other meal prep stuff and noticed that the pressure cooking was completed...and the pot sat for 20 minutes in ‘natural release’ mode, I.e. still pressurized. I think that was actually overcooking the chicken which was a little rubbery. Next time, promptly after 5 minutes I’ll release the steam and then remove the lid to end cooking
Is there a "natural release" mode???
Natural release is letting IP bring pressure down on its own. You can read more here ifoodreal.com/how-to-natural-release-instant-pot/
Does the instapot automatically set that timer after being done to natural release?
Is every InstantPot rack/trivet supposed to have those handles? Mine did not come with those. So there's nothing to hold onto while lowering the rack into the pot.
One thing I’ve been using is a foil band so I can lift things out (like cake pans and trivets that don’t have handles such as some egg holders). Maybe this might work for you?
EDIT: If you do a foil band, make sure the ends are long enough to grab and lift out of the IP...and fold the ends into the pot while cooking!
If you have more than 2 chicken breast can you stack them on top of each other and is the cooking time stil the same?
You can place them tightly in a single layer but not stacked. Same cook time.
You should use chicken broth instead of water.
Great idea - you can definitely swap the water for chicken broth!
