Texan here, I've been to Tennessee and the food and people were so great. I would move there if I wasn't already in love with Texas.
Thank you so much, my hometown Memphis TN has many gems I you look closely, in downtown too I wish i could be there I even wish I had tried gus's fried chicken when I was living there for four years, how did I miss out on it LOL but there are other days for that, only thing is I would order my food there non spicy Im quite the wimp at spicy foods LOL

I have been making Carolina Vinegar bbq for years and learned it from my dad. Im in the mountains of NC and if you EVER come back, I will make it for you myself. I used to live in North Carolina for 3 years (for high school), ever since I graduated and moved to California, whenever I’m feeling like I wanna have some fried chicken, Bojangles is literally the only place that pops up in my mind. It is that good it would simply makes my day just by having couple pieces of fried chicken from there.

Dame's the only place Mike's been to that I've actually visited. I have never found chicken to match it, anywhere. It actually makes to stop eating for second because it is shockingly good.
Funny thing, i live in Maryland, and there is one Bojangles in the state (just basing that on the fact that I've necer seen another one) in Upper Marlboro, on 301, at Croom Rd.. My sister lived 10 minutes from said location. Her and her now husband had many parties at that farm house, and on occasion, I'd wake up, hungover, to the DELICIOUS Bojangles chicken breakfast biscuits....so AWESOME.
Bojangles is almost exclusively in NC. I'm not a massive fan but I do miss it when I leave home. I think you're the first food youtuber to acknowledge any NC food chains. We also have biscuitville and cookout. I highly recommend both.

Bojangles - My best memory while I resided in NC for a year. The fried chicken was perfectly crisp, with just enough spice to give it a bite, juicy and had big pieces as you illustrated. The biscuits were to die for and tasted as if they were marinated in butter.

Lived in Memphis, TN for 16 years & moved out to Mason, lived there for 3 years. My house was seriously 3 minutes from that Gus’s fried chicken you went to!!! best chicken I’ve ever had.

Hahaha...... Mikey glad that you are able to make it to North Carolina. A little note is that Bojangles uses vegetable shortening to fried their chicken, however, marination time is 24 hrs. By the way make sure you get some of that good sweet tea.... Lol. By the way, I forget to tell you, so in the Appalachian area there is a place called 'Daniel Boone Inn' they have an all you can eat southern cooking. It's plate by plate based, but they will come around and refill you up on whatever you like. They are amazing....... But make sure you leave room for desert. Another great place to eat is 'Grandma Hoyes' in Bessemer City, North Carolina. Best time to go is on a Sunday, but early before Sunday rush. Good luck......
