Corn oil has made the biggest different in my OTTB! It keeps the weight on and makes him shine really nicely!

Thanks for the info! How old are your horses? I’m starting my 15 year mare on grown and win to build up her top line as per a horse nutritionist and excited to see the results!

    Hello,
I would love to know the info on the feed your trainer is having made up. Thank you so much!

Nutrena ProFuel is like 10% sugar. For an OTTB, it's equivalent to giving a kid with ADD a huge pixey stick...I think the second ingredient in molasses. That might be why he was high as a kite and gained weight.

Yeah the sugar was too much for him. He didn't last long on that feed!

Aren't you worried about the worms getting immune to the wormers, especially when the horses are wormed so frequently?
We do worm checks with a kit, and if they don't have any worms then we don't worm them. Also, we only worm late spring (before pasture time) early autumn (after pasture) and once before christmas (for a different type of worms)...

Nope, that is why I use the power pac. I also have my vet do a fecal test 2x a year. Once in the spring and once in the fall. 🙂

@@KandtheBays I don't know what a power pack is. But most wormers use the same chemicals to target the specific types of worms and the worms do get immune.
