They were Pippens. My girl bought them for me for $160 like 25 years ago. They were black and white. I just gave them to Goodwill maybe a year ago. It must have been 6 month later they became Penny's shoes.

Had these in ‘96 in all white with forest green trim around the “AIR.” Never ever can find that color way. My first sneaker ever that got me into sneakers was the first Pippen in white. Was a gift from my boyfriend at the time and I’ve been a sneakerhead ever since. 🤗

It’s not more iconic but it definitely stands out if you’re looking at both in shoe store. I still think folks go for the Jordan 11 beef but any freethinkers will choose the Airs tempo anyday.
Last summer I bought in Spain the denim colorway of these shoes and I love them. In the store they also had black/camo colorway but that was hideous. So ugly that they were discounted and still on the shelves. The denim version was 170 euros and only few stores had them. I'm
so happy I got them.

I think Pippen's best sneakers were the Air Flight Lite Mid's from 1992 and the Air Maestro's from 1993. Both of which need to get retro'd rather than these overly redundant air more uptempo's.

Iconic shoe for sure.Super comfortable. Got mine in 2013,olympic colorway.Yeah,quality is not great,material cracked a bit between toe part and smallest letter(a or r,depends on side of shoe...)but other than that its ok.Def. above average compared to normal shoes...Also I just got 2020 foamposites pro(white red black/gray ones)and must say for now they seem far superior to Pippen's in terms of quality.
