He does dumb things a bunch of times. The main reason he is still alive is because of plot armor.

@@k.w.pillsbury4070 He DOES get a lot of lucky breaks but the author also makes the main character struggle more than enough to make it seem fair. IMO while its clear that generally there will be success found no one wants to read a story of a character constantly getting kicked down so the author has done a pretty great job.
The best Part about this story is that Protagonist does NOT become a Human (fully). its so refreshing to see that in comparison of the hundred other animes where the Dragon/Monster becomes human and there real form is just a side note for the rest of the story,
The manga hasn't advanced a lot, but I hope it is as you say onthe light novel
@@pablojimenezarjona4755 literally in the end game in the WN/LN and he is still not a human (he can hold his human transformation for a few hours at best and it makes him useless in a fight, which is something else that is great the human transformation has legit drawbacks to it)

Purely a skill issue.
In the context of this manga that's kind if stupid, dragons are very known for there amazing proficiency with polymorphing. Although it would be cool if he took a form that's human but scaley like Villy does in the Primal Hunter, basically looking like Toffee from SVTFOE
This seems like it could literally a side-story of spider isekai...

Even down to the game mechanics, starting as a baby and getting the options between different evolutions at max level
The art style also looks similar which I like

In this scenario the phrase ''It's Greek to me'' fit perfectly because when he didn't understand humans yet they literally spoke random Greek letters.
Whenever I see a random word I don't understand like russian I always think "greek? Rome? Japan? Korean? Egypt?"

You know what. I saw a manga was was like this where the human turned into a dragon. However they went human form and stayed in it forever and they lost point for me on that one. I hope this one keeps him a dragon. Would be pretty neat. I love this one.

As a Dragon lover as well I agree with you, this is an amazing story, although at the start he was leveling up a bit too quick to my taste but that doesn't really matter.
I felt so bad for him because he wanted to be a holy dragon. But sadly his system is an edge lord. I love dark dragons but the system is an ass. 😂
I believe the slime adsorbed part of Irushia's past and evil traits while he was in the egg. So Irushia's reincarnate was a total reset for him.

@@miisoma It was more or less revealed that the rare and special slime purely happened upon Irusha's Egg and took some of his memories and power, which gave it human level intelligence as well as more power and abilities. This is what made it not a normal slime anymore.

@@kyouksterm208 late to the party but from what I understood from reading the light novel is Illusia (the dragon's name in the light novels) is missing majority of his memories BECAUSE the slime took them. The slime only think its special because Illusia is suppose to be special for some greater plot and it gleaned that from the stolen powers and memories. Honestly a really good way to make your character reasonably capable with dark suggestion while still letting them be good on the moral side.
@@AstralDragn as i understand illusia didn't have his memories as it was impossible to maintain them completely and only important parts remained,
about the slime is not because of that, apparently there are more than 1 "choosen" illusia being one of them, the slime just eat someone who didn't have a special walking egg type as illusia and pretty much gained human level inteligence, and since monsters are monsters here he pretty much, gone crazy. And probably others just died. You can get this conclussion based on how far you've read.
The story starts out pretty lighthearted, but let's be charitable and say it doesn't last. Oh, and pay attention to the "voice" and how it affects every one of the strong people in that world.

I wouldn't call it a masterpiece. But it is very well done.
That being said I sort of stopped reading after they met the calamity dragon.
The story is fine but the way it is handled sucks. There's no clear plot in the first few arcs, the protagonist just wanders around. And I hate how the story introduces concepts and not do anything with them. Like, The guy just becomes a boxer instead of utilizing his fockin rpg skills.

@@petermatis6083 Constantly? I don't know about you but ever since I stopped reading the manga, I can still vaguely remember him never using his skills in most of his battles. There are a lot of rpg skills he gains that could've been useful In many situation he faces. Most of the time he just use his fists or just fighting prowess to deal with enemies. Not even trying to use his skills like that "Slime" he faced.

Ngl, second he chose the calamity for the one and only skill that allows him a human form I kinda already lost all interest in this manhwa. But once it turns out he was tricked was kinda funny that it all basically tricked him into choosing it due to that skill alone knowing just how foolishly desperate he is to have a human form. That type of stuff in these manhwa's does really annoy me since it literally defeats the purpose of the plot and such. Especially at the very very beginning.
I also have a feeling that after killing Gregory (or eating his head?) That the options he had before for a hero dragon and holy dragon likely do not exist anymore. Feel like the only reason he had those options before was because he simply never killed a person and had the skills in order to have those as candidates thanks to not killing anyone. Feel like thats something he himself is missing when he thinks he can get back to being with humans or around them. Afterall it appears the path laid out for him is a very clear one and no matter how much he would want to return he likely wont be able to, at least not for long. Also wonder if the hero is a self absorbed moron that'll get himself killed trying to kill the dragon or someone that is actually deserving of the title hero.
I do have to feel slightly worried even then that it'll reach such a point regardless considering the title cover for the Manhwa when I found it, even if all others display something else. Makes me wonder if its going under alot of revisions which is why it hasn't updated in months or takes as long as it does. But also I've noticed it takes alot of mp for him to maintain human form regardless of its level, so even if he does get what he wants he wont be able to just remain forever human like he wants, but can only really use it for communication if anything.
It's a manga, not a Manhwa. Beyond that, I don't know if you actually want responses to your queries for potential spoilers, but I can tell you that the story is very slow paced for the most part.

I can’t wait for a few years for this to be animated, but what im really excited about are the other stories that are like this, reincarnated as a tree? Can’t wait for that one, oh boy, reincarnated as a Rock? Best among the best, i readed some reincarnated as a sword and some are really good. One that is pretty big, and that is really awesome is one that i read in spanish, has over 200+ chapters with each with +15,000 words, and now is on it’s second “season”, and there is hundreds of stories like this waiting for a manga or even an anime!
