Fun Fact: San has actually been confirmed by Michael Dougherty to be reckless to the point that his head would come off multiple times, because of this San learned how to grow back his head quicker than Ichi or Ni can.

According to GvK novelisation, one of the three heads of Ghidorah was in mechagodzilla, that's why he was able to put up such a good fight. So, I think Ghidorah won't fight mechagodzilla, cause a part of his own body is inside it.
