I am starting an online business because I want to show my kids that you can achieve anything you set your mind to. My 5-to-10-year vision is to have consistency, so I am able to leave my 9 to 5. This was so inspiring and was exactly what I needed. Thank you for this and was a sign that I am on the right track.. :)

You are absoultley correct and keep that great mindset. This is your time to work on your business while your not working a job. God put us on earth to work our gifts and talents, hot a 9 to 5. The late Dr Miles Munroe said, they can fire you and lay you off your job, but they cant fire you or lay you off your gifts. He gave them to you not man.
Congratulations! When Covid hit, a lot of business was born. Remember every delay is in our favor. Also, remember, if we lose a job, get laid off a job, or if we are at a stand still, this is the time to hear from God, we have to be able to listen. As long as we got a stove, we will never be broke. There is a business in all of us, we just have to tap in. Last, whatever you're passionate about, and it's on your mind daily, that's your gift. ❤️

Truly inspiring. I'm middle-aged and an empty nester mom. I want to enjoy my old age by creating and making batik clothing etc. and I love being an entrepreneur. So I'm selling online and in person/shop and in addition, it feels good to have extra income.

I like your vibe. What you say is real, it is scary, it is hard. but work through it and make many goals.
I started on Etsy because I didn't have a following on social media and I knew that starting on a platform like Shopify would mean 100% I have to drive traffic and I would just eat up monthly costs unfortunately (I did try out shopify briefly too).
So I also read the story branding book as well as many other entrepreneur books, I know my WHY and goals but the struggle I'm having is coming up with product ideas. I feel like we are surrounded by so many people with great ideas and I'm feeling stuck.
Like I know the message I want to share with the world, I know I can be creative but I just don't really know how to "start" on the creative side. I already know how to run a business, I actually have plenty of product supplies I've tested in the past (making hoodies with vinyl, sublimation, totes, currently making stickers but even that is spotty).
I think my biggest overall struggle is trying to build an audience/following on social media. Any advice?
You’re not alone in your struggles on these things. I feel late to the game and don’t know if it’s possible or worth it. Good luck in endeavors.
I feel you. The beginning is always the hardest. I’d suggest to focus on the process. Not achieving that goal right away. Keep showing up online for your audience. Good things happen when you believe in yourself and never give up. Good luck!💖

The reason I want to start a business is cause I want my creativity to flourish, I also feel as if I haven’t gotten to use my creativity lately and forgotten my abilities. I also really want to own a business cause I think it would be a really great learning from my mistakes because of the many ups and downs. And how to make decisions which is something I struggle with daily cause I’m always worried I’m making the wrong decisions. That’s all!.

Just to add a little more helpful information----- obtaining trademark protection, copyright protection or patent protection is important. It's important to protect your original ideas/designs/products, etc. For example, a trademark protects your right to use a design that identifies your business's goods and services and name.
Not many people cover this topic in starting a business. It is very important to do your research thoroughly before creating a business.
From creating a business plan that includes budgeting the cost of start-up and the cost of the supplies you will be using for your business and marketing costs, to creating a website, to tax information and forms and fees, to what type of business you are starting such as an LLC, to filing paperwork for your business name to make sure no one has that name already, etc.

I used Etsy for my online business and there initial traffic but then I ended up I was paying more in fees than sales so I closed it down, with Shopify I tried that one too but being in the UK I found it was too focused on the American market and therefore not enough traction from the UK, also with the amount of money you pay in customs fees etc its not worth your while shipping outside your own Country as a small business. I closed that part of my business down and Im currently in a reevaluating stage but moving forward I would probably try Tik Tok shop in the future to market and sell.

Im 19 years old now and i still need my parents money to buy anything and i feel like im burdening them. Everyday im having a delusional where i use to think how to get a money and how to start a business, and it comes with many kinds of business which is opening a cafe, selling an apparell and many more, but the problem is i dont even have any money to start all of these things, everytime i got money, i use to spend it on my school work😔 but then i found ur vid and watched it, I feel inspired to move forward and find another way to collect money and start the things that I'm delusional of.

I'm struggling so hard with starting a small Tea business. It's hard to get people to want to try my products. And etsy has so many fees that when I launch my online store I'm going to shopify. I'm starting at small craft fairs and building business that way and it's so hard.
Your videos keep me going. Although i havent literally started yet the business but I am now collecting possible inventory. Quality checking first, i dont want to provide any mediocre products in the first place. I hope i can start my concept marketing on how to (hopefully) get my videos reach the right audiences. competition is tough though. Why would people buy my stuff, that is my main question when I create a product. And few people actually appreciate hand crafted goods, artisans, etc. They tend to think I charge high price. they would rather buy from mass produced stores
Some people will always find something to complain about. If you charge too low, they might say the quality must be poor. If you charge a fair amount for your handmade items, some will still complain about your prices. While you’d think people would appreciate more affordable alternatives, like machine-embroidered garments, there will be those who complain about it not being 100% handmade. The key is to find your target audience; you can’t make everyone happy. Good luck🫶🫶
