Man this is SUCH a terrific portrait of Bly! I’ve been fortunate to know Robert Bly almost as long as I’ve known my parents. In my opinion this portrait captures his essence better than any other, and the next best is so far behind that it isn’t even a contest. This is just so perfect and so touching. Thank you for this wonderful portrait. A genius this man. A great poet of the ages, a troubadour, a sage, a bard, a philosopher, a pastor, a king. To the likes of Lincoln, of Whitman, of Thoreau or Emerson, Robert is a solitary man with tight lips and a shining forehead which reflects in his pressed speech and intelligent demeanour. Always elegantly dressed, a posture tutored like an old tree, solid yet flexible. Robert's voice and gestures, full of wit and play, and yet deep like an ancient well out of which springs forth the nurishing ideas and sounds of the soul. Bly danced with words, with his speech, and with his hands, carressing the poetry of things and showing it to us with reverence and joy. Thank you Robert for your work although I did not personally know you, I feel blessed to have found you. And thanks Mike again for this wonderful hommage.

I've loved Robert's poetry for a few years. I never noticed until now though something he has in common with David Lynch: that wavy hand.
