Now OP06 is finally here.... i mean kind of if you can get your hands on any, should we be paying up for box's on the secondary market?, I'm not sure it is.
but we test our luck to see if we can beat the odds.

I don't usually comment, but I feel compelled to this time.
First off, nice video. No choppy cuts like other CZcamsrs. Just raw unadulterated thoughts about the subject: OP06 boxes. In fact, your transparency regarding the controversy earned you a new subscriber. I also agree now that buying boxes is a waste of money. And this is coming from someone who lives in Plano, TX. I live 10 min away from the Bandai store selling it for MSRP. What people don't realize is the horror that went down on the day of release March 15th. I came there an hour before opening and was placed in line at number 600. In total, there were about 1700 people who came and grabbed a number that day, and 1400 booster boxes were sold. At number 600, I sat there for 5 HOURS just to get a booster box. I pulled Absalom alt and zoro sec rare. only 50 bucks in value. I don't want to imagine going through that again. Even at MSRP, it was not worth my time. It was also packed af and clearly violated any maximum occupancy policy.
At the end of the day, it's all gambling your money and your time to see if you can break even. Rarely does anyone get the manga anyway. Bandai knows what they are doing. They know they are undersupplying so that the value of their cards are high.

I've started with OP-05 (I'm just collecting at the moment, would like to learn the ropes of the game itself) and got 1 box of 06 from the Bandai Camden store in London. Pulled Alt Art Momo and Sanji SEC Alt Art, so not worth the cost - but I just like opening boxes! 😂
I had a quick question for UK buying - I have used Magic Madhouse and Unicorn Cards to pick up boxes previously, do you think they are reputable stores or will they stack their boxes like you mentioned at the start (so keep the good boxes for themselves etc.)?

Ah thanks mate I really appreciate that 😁 hey look if you get it at retail we all love the opening box's and understand we might not get our worth, just don't buy from these scalpers 🤣 yes I've used magic madhouse and unicorn cards, I still do sometimes, I'll be honest I couldn't tell you about if they stack box's, but I think those bigger stores it's unlikely,I have deffo got big hits from them, it's more the smaller stores that get a smaller allocation that do it, or stores that have bought at a higher price on the secondary market that would do it to maximise their profits. So I would be fairly confident with both magic madhouse and unicorn cards.
Yeah I'll for sure be opening everything that comes out, I don't have a pre order for EB01 but I'll be getting some box's 1 way or another, and I've got a case of OP07 on order so we will have those for sure. Thanks for the sub mate and enjoy the rest of your weekend 🙏🏻

My first box of OP06 was Alt Art Zoro and... Alt Aramaki. So I will agree that all in all buying a box isn't worth it. My best example would be I had an OP04 box that was Rosenante (SEC) and Mr. 5 Alt. But I will say there is still the joy and mystery of opening new cards, especially if you're going to use them for playing. I got excited for any Vinsmoke common or rare I got, want to get that deck put together. As for your big hit card in the next box... my guess will be Buggy SP!

In op-06 the Japanese one I've hit the reiju leader alt art & the English I've hit Nami treasure rare & its been 4 years with pokemons & still chasing any charizards or any other cards thats been in the most valuable lists

Its been like that for a while. In Awakenig of the New Era besides the Manga, there was no reaso for the box to be this expensive since all the other cards were not that valuable. Bandai needs to over print all expansions to send prices to the floor.

It has been a nightmare to find even individual boosters, here in Canada I’ve seen them 15 each :/ I thing I’ll go to Japanese version way cheaper and not scalped
Bro if you don't play the game 100 percent just buy Japanese, I really don't see the point in collecting English, the Japanese arts cost like a 1/5th of English arts. Good luck
What do you think? Is this a set to just buy singles? The degens amongst us will rip regardless but for the value of the set, and not really finding it at MSRP, is it even worth opening it ....
I personally say no. Even if my bankroll was on the higher side to be buying boxes at that price point I’m saying no. If you a player then buy singles you’ll get most of what you’re looking for that price
Yes and no in my opinion. Collector point of view I would say no because you spend more money on singles specially when reprint is coming soon. Currently boxes sell at around 170 to 180. As a player I would say yes because trying to pull some cards are a bit hard like hiyori or momo's. However, buying 1 box to get most of bulk out of the way and spending money to buy singles is best way.

@@GeekProvisions Even now I still buy box because the pull rates aren't bad. As a collector and player I like some AA so I can also trade others to complete my wants. What I've been doing is trading for older stuff that no longer is printed. I have completed all OP04 to OP06. Still working on older sets but they are about 70 percent completed. This is where trading some of these come in handy. TJust traded my extra moria for a AA Leader Sakasuki. Even tho is about to be banned as a collector I would like to have it.

At the price point of a box you might as well get singles. 200+ for a box is crazy in yugioh you can get 3 boxes for like 230.

To clarify...if you can get it at retail its worth it. If you cant just buy singles at market price
I think for everyone it's different maybe, depends how much disposable income you have and wether you mind only getting 50 worth of stuff from a 200 box, me personally I don't mind spending MSRP and maybe I get what I want maybe I don't, but I'm never paying over MSRP. Never. Just my opinion obviously. Just don't spend money you don't have on them would be my advice lol
@@GeekProvisions I agree. For me retail is considered anything under $120 per BB, $13 for a Double Pack and $5.30 for a blister. At those prices it's a full send but even at those prices you can still take a big L.
It seems the blisters are the big winner so far. Everyone I've seen crack stock has hit big. Alt Leaders and busty SPs.
Absolutely can still take an L but it's a lot smaller and I don't mind the thrill of the chase when the margins are smaller 🤣

Bought a box for 220, opened it today, got 2 alt arts, hody character ($35) and tashigi ($20). I lost about $150 on this one box. I bought as singles an alt art linlin ($130) and a reiju character alt ($90) for the same amount the box cost....yea, never buying boxes again...
Ah mate. Sorry to hear that, yeah buying over MSRP is just never worth it unless you hit a manga rare pretty much. Hope you're luck is better next time or you just manage to buy what you want at a decent price. We've all been there.
Bought 1 box of OP06 from TikTok and i pulled a Manga Zoro!! I thought i was buying a dead box! Which means someone put a Manga Zoro box in my package! I dont know how lucky that is!! This was my 5th box of OP06!

Is it worth opening a box of 06? I keep seeing a lot of videos like this. Depends on who you ask. To me it’s worth opening any box cause I’m a collector and love the cards. I don’t see any point in keeping sealed boxes. Boxes are meant to be opened. But I don’t care about the money hungry investor side of things whether one piece or Pokémon
The question isn't about opening it if you have it, I open everything I buy, maybe the title is misleading, its more is it worth buying, and my opinion essentially is that if you can get it at MSRP smash them, if you can't buy at MSRP don't bother, just buy the singles, but I have also said many times before if you've got the kind money to be able to open £300 pound box's for £50 with of cards more power to you 🤣 but I do not. Fuck scalpers, fuck investors.

Loool 100% I love this set I the funs just been taken away a bit by the shortage for me, I still have a couple of box's left to open on the channel but that's it really.
@@GeekProvisions yeah it does suck with the shortage and I don’t like the fact that product is hard to find at msrp but you can try and see the bright side of things that since product is so hard to find it makes it that much sweeter when you finally get it. It’s like a kid waiting for Christmas morning. The wait is suspenseful but worth it. But Bandai seems to be listening and they are reprinting older sets. I know for a fact my local game store is about to get cases of op05 and op01 which I’m very happy about cause I’m on the list to be guaranteed to get boxes and it’s gonna be super nice to get romance Dawn and not have to pay 500 dollars a box

I'm going to be dead honest the One Piece TCG game will die in 2 years. Check how the other ccg/tcg Bandai have done... if you've checked then you will know they have all died in 2 years and they have had MANY MANY tcgs/ccgs.. DO NOT BUY OVERPRICED CARDS! Also its usually a red flag when they print different sets in so little numbers basically means they don't see a long term future for the TCG ... this TCG reminds me of the JoJos Bizarre Adventure TCG they did in 2007 which died in 2 years.
I hear you, only difference is how big one piece is, this is the most popular one they've done without a doubt, if they manage to fuck this up people need firing.

@@absolutewarrior4253 nah there's sooo many they haven't done, the anime isn't even finished either, and there can be multiple cards of the same character, coroc has multiple leaders, Luffy has like 4 lol Kaido has 2. They aren't going to run out any time soon.
