Im not sure if you will agree with me (if you see this comment) but i think you need a new front man to score more goals, Balotelli and Sousa have a couple of years left but you need a 83+ stricker for the next 5 or so seasons and Balotelli and Sousa as backups, like i said im not sure you will agree but it's just my opinion on the squad.
I suggest filling out the squad because when you start playing more games in the champions league and the fa cup your players will get tired and will get injured! Start buying cheaper backup options maybe torrerira for the midfield
Will Brown.. its not in my contract to win the Uefa Champions League even though it would be cool but my team lost 0-4 to a new look Bayern Munich in the quater finals at home.. my players confidence went down.. they were not looking forward to the second leg.. so unfair... we lost again 4-0 on Germany... i also got knockout in the last 32 by Celta Vigo and PSV Eindhoven
I'd say sign a new CB like De Ligt or maybe John Stones if you can. Also a new LB so Mendy, Grimaldo, Telles all options. However, I'd recommend Lucas Hernandez. He's probably really high rated by this point and can play LB and CB so covers your weaker areas.

Iniesta , Ibra and Ronaldo+Messi have probably got regent now go sign theirs. If you don't know how to just put age 16-22 in the transfer search. Put the nationality (for example, Ronaldo would be Portugal) put their position, then the league they retired in and search.
Striker, CB, and LB in that order. Rafael Leão is such a good career mode striker he's 6'2" 85 + Speed and acceleration and 4* skill moves 4* weak foot.
You should also try to bring in Ryan Sessegnon and get a new keeper, I also think that you could try and get more players out of your youth team. Brilliant series tho keep going. Could you try a RTG with Crawley Town
You need a top quality striker. For now, you should try Castro the Hitman on top with Sancho, Woodburn and Chong behind in 4-2-3-1 formation with Sousa coming off the bench. Imagine the number of goals they will score. And play 2 proper box-to-box CM behind to give more stability to the team

Needs more depth and a stronger back line. Get maximillian wöber. Austrian player, I picked him up from Ajax in first season and several seasons down the line he is one of my top defenders. He can play RB, LB, or CB and is young and has high potential. A great investment

In terms of players, go for some midrange players as back up. Like a tom davies from everton, james ward prowse from southampton in mid. Defence like a kurt zouma, thilo kehrer, matthias de ligt? do need a new striker to help sousa - maybe rashford?
As balotelli is now getting on in age and decreasinh rating you should bring in a new class striker such as, pellegri, kean or vizeu! Btw i love these series keep it up!
You need a left back so I recommend you Mendy, Robbo or Dortmund's Guerreiro (I'm not that good in English sorry for any mistakes if I had any (obviously) (I'm Greek) )
As much as Sousa has been a hero, I think you need to invest in a top quality striker who will get you 25 league goals a season. That'll be the difference between where you've finished now and finishing in the top 4
It's interesting that it's so easy to turn a lower league side into world beaters in this FIFA, I reckon that transfer budgets need to be nerfed or player prices increased but it is fun to see Macclesfield high and mighty I guess!
