- Mark Healey grew up in Madison listening to the 1960s and 1970s music of the rock group Badfinger. The group was originally signed by the Beatles recording company. Some of their biggest hits were written by the Beatles. When death and tragedy struck the band, Mark Healey was called to audition. He got the gig and has been rocking to the tunes of his music heroes as a member of Badfinger.

Wow, this was a great version of Badfinger. Joey sounded great, Mark sounded amazing.
I was probably ten years old when I first heard Badfinger, and became an immediate fan. Whenever I hear Baby Blue, Come & Get It, etc, I'm transported back to my childhood days playing hockey, hanging with friends.
Love Badfinger...
Exactly ONE song was given to them by Paul McCartney. He handed them a demo (he played all the parts) and said copy this note by note and you will have a massive hit, they did and it was lol The original band (6 albums) wrote ALL the rest of their recorded material :)
I love this band so much.
this is amazing and awesome I love Badfinger, one of the greatest bands
Mark's solo cd Inside Out is excellent. Hope he does another one soon!

Paul wrote “If You Want It”
A dear friend of mine back in the day tried to teach me to play guitar. Day After Day was the first song he attempted to teach me. I never could quite play right. Still can't.
I have an original Copy of Straight Up on Vinyl that I purchased at a second hand record shop about 40 odd years ago.
love it.
Please, tell the narrator that Joey’s name is Mô-lund NOT Mǔ-lund … Joey Molland. Great piece of British-Pop/Rock Hx. (I was fortunate enough to spend ~ a 1/2 hour with him after a show in Nashville in 1986. Charming, engaging man with as many questions of his own as I did for him 😊. It is a treasured memory …). He deserves to have his name pronounced correctly …
🎸👨🏼⚕️🎸🫶✌️♾️. 🤷🏼♂️
I had to laugh out loud when she said 'If They Sound Like The Beatles'!!
The first hit was written by McCartney, but it most certainly wasn't their first release. And Harrison did not produce Straight Up, Todd Rundgren did whom Harrison hired.
There record contract prevented them from recording and touring thats why 2 members killed themselves
Oh they got royally screwed. What a shame.
no the label rejected a rushed album...called head first.
*Their record
joey was 1/4 of bf.
Sorry, but this is NOT Badfinger. This is Joey Molland’s Badfinger cover band.
not exactly a cover band; it started as Joey and Mike Gibbins, doing what they could to keep the Badfinger music alive. Mike passed away back in 2006.
@@ronfowlermusicIt was in 2005.
BTW, when 2 Badfinger line-ups were co-existing, Joey led his own band, while Tom led his own. Mike joined Tom and then, Joey.
Bob Jackson, who replaced Pete Ham in Badfinger, was also with Evans and Gibbins. This is Joey Molland’s Badfinger not Badfinger
I’ll take any line up of “Badfinger” that contains an original member of the classic line-up and/or Ron, Bob or Mark. I’ve gotten to know all of these wonderful musicians over the years and I’m just happy they are keeping the songs alive. Pete, Tom and Mike, God rest their souls, are no longer with us to sing them for us anymore, but I know for a fact that in every incarnation I’ve seen them (and I’ve seen most, going back to 1971) the writers of the songs are always reverently credited.
This is definitely not Badfinger! 1:57
