This review still holds true in 2023 with increased range. I got my M3 LFP August 30th and have already put 2,500 miles on it. Best car I have ever owned.
The M3 LFP is a perfect car for commuting. It's fun to drive too. My wife is not a car person, but she loves it.
But if you live in a place with snow and ice, maybe a Four Wheel Drive I version might be preferable. Keep in mind that the car should not only have a good range this year, but also when the car is three years old or older. It seems that batteries in the Tesla S historically degrade more slowly than in the Tesla 3. The LFP batteries are said to be worse in cold i.e. winter temperatures
@@Andersljungberg we're in Seattle. Our M3 handle the snow/ wet road fine.

Man. Thanks so much for your videos. I just ordered a rwd model 3 lfp( I hope). In August. Been doing my homework big time and have learned a lot from you. Looks like rwd lfp will work for me in LA Calif. If I want more I'll sell for a lr in 2023 . We will see.

I ordered the same on August 13. They told me it would be LFP. EDD Nov 13-Dec 18 in North Texas.
Ordered August 17th. Around. First delivery timeframe November 25th to January time frame I just got updated to September 30th to October 12th. Really big update on delivery. Seems they are moving up deliveries big time. Maybe for 4th Q deliveries.

I think the interior lights are apart of the premium interior while the the SR+ and RWD have the partial premium interior.
On a side note I the LR range is LFP next year with CATLs new LFMP chemistry. It has additional energy density and costs the same as normal LFP 👀
if I'm correctly informed, you don't get a premium car stereo in the standard range, like a subwoofer for example

The Model 3 is also a greenhouse so in the summer you really gotta precondition the cabin from your phone before returning to your car or like you said it just doesn’t work great while it’s trying to cool the battery.
Sun shades with reflectors for the sun roof and ceramic tint for the windows are life and battery savers.
Ceramic tinted all the windows and roof of my model 3. In my opinion it's a must for owning a Tesla. Made a huge difference in heat reduction and power consumption as a result. Before the heat from top would burn my scalp on a hot Texas day, but after the ceramic tinting, I don't even notice the heat once inside, and the AC doesn't have to work as hard once on.
i have the same car, i notice the car can get hot, i bought the sunshade for the roof and i window tinted the car with ceramic tints 100% uv protection on the roof and sides, best investment, and but the a/c to 65
Great points made by Jen. The air conditioner and the cabin noise is something i've been hearing from other tesla owners as well. My wife has the same commute as well, so i'll show her this as well. Thank you Robert and Jen for this video. Love the real world tesla content for us future Tesla owners.

2 to 4 Miles would probably not be considered normal by everyone. Because the normal thing is that people should also be able to visit friends or relatives and sometimes maybe even take a trip

Europe does not have right hand drives. UK, Australia and Japan (and some countries in Africa) does.
@@sundflux uk is part of Europe Dude . Just not part of Europian Union.. small difference.. but yeah in uk the driving side is diff.. like in Japan..
What windshield tint do you guys have on this? Looks darker than 70% in your intro angles.
i never do auto temp, i do manual settings, 65 and fan at 10.
auto seems to work 80% of the time.
do you manually adjust back up or this is default for you?
I do auto 70 (usually) and I precondition before I get in. I never have any problems with the car not being cool enough and my efficiency is 200-220 wh/mi
I got the S3XY buttons and set up 2 for fan speed up/down. I don't like auto either.

Only Teslas with LFP batteries should be charged to 100%. the others, the recommendation is 80 to 90%. otherwise the battery degrades faster
how is the battery capacity after one year?

I'm totally not getting any of this stuff from Tesla. If something goes wrong with the vehicle it says right in the fine print you can't sue.

I have this car and the only issue I’m having is a smelly A/C when I first turn on the car. The smell goes away after a minute or two.
highly recommend cabin air filter change service. $57 or so here in az and is mobile

I replaced the air filter with the HEPA grade ones with activated carbon from a third party. I did the switch out myself.
