I've been wanting this figure since he got announced, and thankfully he's back in stock on pulse. I'll probably pick him up :)
I hope you get one as he is awesome
I just got this from Arbitrary heroes lighter then I thought he be but great figure
Glad you got one pal
He looks very distinctive when compared to the other three versions of the mould in bot mode. Amazing how a different colour layout can make it feel like an entirely new thing. Definitely looks like the best use of the mould to me. I'm not the biggest Dinobot fan you will meet to be honest, but I was tempted when they revealed this. I decided against it in the end because I had other collecting priorities that I wanted to direct my budget into, but I do think he looks fantastic nevertheless. 👍
It’s a great looking bot pal. Even better in hand.
I wouldn’t mind if after Legacy, this steps up and becomes the the new generations line. It’s using fantastic molds so far and it’s great paint, and of course it’s a great way to get rarer molds.
Totally agree
I tried getting that comic edition figure in very comic book stores in Dublin and Galway but no luck. Same can be said for Shockwave Straxus Flame and Emirate Xaaron
Sorry to hear that. Did you not try hasbro pulse as it’s a hasbro pulse exclusive
@@ToysareRuss Maybe another time
@@jackoconnor5590 all the comic edition figures are hasbro pulse exclusives. So next time just go there, there’s no point searching anywhere else
@@ToysareRuss Got it
i dont think thats slags sword, it looks more like a colour accurate Snarl one.
no harm giving it to him but i think the Slag one is coming with Swoop.
still class vid man.
Thanks bud. I think you’re right. I messed up the swords there
I’m afraid of getting Sludge because of the QC issues on him
There’s none with mine and I’ve not heard of any issues with him.

Fun fact. Slag is waste metal deposits that comes from melting metal. As when you weld you have to chip away the slag afterwards. A slug is a snail without a shell. 😂😂. Great review. Hopefully mine shows up soon.
Hasbro from time to time don't use Logic! If the word Slag is offensive in the UK, then you name it something different in that country. Doesn't mean the rest of the World has to adhere to the name change to Slug!
I agree, I live in the uk and to me it’s always really meant molten metal.
im honestly lost at the reaction to the term Slag. yes its duals as an offensive term but its SO mild its used on day time telly !
There really is no reason to have changed the name.
meanwhile Hasbro KEEP releasing characters called "spastic" and the like with NO idea how that goes down .
:D

It’s great
Comic Book Grims has Superman Red underwear and blue tights!
Can’t stop seeing that now
I want they made a retro 86 fig of him and the pretender
Pretender shell would be awesome
I'm surprised you didn't do a side by side Dinobot mode comparison with SS86 Grimlock?
I can do a more detailed comparison if that’s what people want
@@ToysareRuss Want :)
Those molds have great shelf presence..Just in hand IMO feel really cheap..
I think they feel sturdy and chunky. Admittedly all plastic though
So SS86 Grimlock had the clear black shield covering his Autobot symbol, despite on his box showing it to be a clear shield. This Grimlock is the way it should have been all along, with the no shield covering the Autobot symbol! I don't understand where their reasoning was on the changes?
The G1 toy had a translucent black shield piece on the chest. The animated series chose to depict it as clear giving off the illusion of it being yellow.
@@HolyCow0273 The Translucent black shield covering the Autobot Symbol was done by the designer because in Dinobot mode Grimlock would have had two Autobot Symbol's showing, one on his gray chest and the other upside down below his stomach. I'm sure Hasbro could have done something where his symbol shows if you slide a cover open or something, but Hasbro doesn't think creatively at times. It's all about putting a budget on a design, so they can pull in maximum profit margin. For a multi-billion dollar toy company, they can't go a little out of their way and lose just a little money per TF, just to give appreciation/incentive to the customer.
Thanks how these insightful comments. So everyone else can read them too.

If I still have my mp version I’ll let you know but I’m sure there’s pictures online
