I'm sad to see that What The Flick has ended but I'm glad to hear that there's a podcast - good compromise! If Christy, Alonso, Ben, Matt + the whole team are reading this - I just want to say thank you for all the hard work you put into these reviews. You all had great chemistry together and I loved how you discussed movies each with your own take. I'm really gonna miss your perspectives and witty banter peppered throughout your reviews. What The Flick, along with Kermode, are the best movie reviewers on CZcams. I'm a bit disappointed by some of these hostile comments because I also really dug WTF's videos about the film industry. Then again, WTF always had some needlessly aggressive commenters. I look forward to the podcast reviews!!

I Can't think of a better place to post this so here goes: What the Flick has been my favorite actual movie review show. I agreed with your descriptions and # scores at least 80% of the time. I always loved when the whole crew was together, but individually I loved Christy, Alonso, Matt and Ben and every unique view they brought to each review. I am proud to say I have watched every movie review on your youtube page. Selfishly, I don't know what I'm going to do for single episode show reviews! Without you guys, there is no way I could have followed shows like the Leftovers, and West World properly. My favorite video's were your annual "worst movies of ...", and I will miss them tremendously. I'm sure everyone has got their favorite TYT show that just got canned, and What the flick was most definitely mine! I'll miss you guys PS - I totally agreed with you all (especially Christy,) on the Dark Knight Rises review

@@hunter12555 The channel was closed due to the network's wishes to focus most of their finances toward other areas. It still survived in podcast format though. Weekly hour-long shows covering movie news and reviews.
I think they'll move to a new platform starting in the new year, they still do a podcast (albeit often poor quality recordings at made at Christy's home).
I was wondering why I hadn’t seen a WTF video in my home feed in a long while. While I genuinely hope that the show returns (and soon), I want to thank Christy, Alonso, Matt, Ben and the others for their insightful criticism, their wild knowledge of film and their constant witticisms. I have been checking What the Flick the past two weeks daily waiting for new uploads. Figured something is wrong and came to check the comments. This channel has been canceled? This is ridiculous. The main TYT channel and WTF are the only two channels on this network I watch. In fact, it's through WTF I found TYT. I'm completely dismayed they will no longer keep this channel up. I was so looking forward to the GOT reviews and the weekly favorites like Better Call Saul. WTF was my go to for movie recommendations. Someone suggest a good review channel similar to this one, please.
I'd recommend Screen Junkies News, similar layout where it's a panel discussing movie news and they do have residential critics in the form of Dan Murrell and Roth Cornett who they turn to for reviews which are all listed as separate videos from the main show. Dan and Roth both know their stuff and articulate their thoughts really well when it comes to reviewing. Sadly they're not quite as prolific as WTF when it comes to reviews but they are engaging, knowledgeable and similar-ish in style. Check them out.
@FJalltheway, your comment is precisely why I hope these cancellations/firings bite the network in the ass. How many subscribers, viewers, or even TYT members found the political main show through one of the entertainment offshoots? I typically wouldn’t wish any ill towards TYT but these cuts (when money has apparently been spent on starting 5 + new shows and a completely overhauled app and website) have made me really disappointed in a network I’ve supported for years.
I just saw that this is finished. I’m not happy that What the Flick is over, but I appreciate all of the reviews that were posted here. They were thought provoking, as well as highly entertaining. All of the critics here had chemistry, and I hope they stay close even though the show has come to a close.
So this is why I don't see their new videos anymore! They stopped reviewing?! Why? This was such an brilliant show! Especially the countdown to Christmas segment last year? That was awesome! I'm sad this is gone.
There is a real vacuum in professional movie critics that can detail their issues and appreciations of such a broad variety of films near as well as Matt, Christy and Alonso. I would absolutely love to see WTF develop into its own, but perhaps that is unlikely despite my and surely others' willingness to contribute to see that happen. I never actually would have thought I would be this saddened to see another great movie appreciation channel fade out much like Cinefix had before

tbh I liked this channel a lot. Didn't always agreed with their opinions and there was definitely some head scratchers but overall they were nice to watch and I loved their discussions

In their first podcast they sounded very committed to producing this new show and even enhancing it going forward, even turning it into a video show eventually. The first episode is Matt and Christy only, but they assured us that Matt and Alonso--who are currently attending film festivals--would be joining them in future episodes.

tyt suffers from an insane lack of views for how big it is. if you look most what the flick episodes got less than 10000 views, like a lot of the tyt stuff, the audience they started catering to was tiny compared to what they thought it was

I loved WTF but I had a bad feeling it was going to get cancelled. Just look at the viewing figures and subscriber numbers and then at the fact that you have three professional reviewers working on this video and a team of producers and camera men behind the camera. The numbers just don't add up

Well, it's an achievement, and it was done quite well. Unless you know how hard is to make a movie is, it's a bit tough to appreciate the artistry and difficulties it entails.
I will certainly miss 'What The Flick'. Sharp and funny, I feel that Cenk has made a mistake in not continuing with this channel. I hope that Christy, Matt and Alonso continue to review movies together somewhere accessible!

I think you guys should start your own CZcams channel, I don't always agree with your reviews or political stance, but it's clear you have a raport with one another and the format is ready to roll out to pastures new, away from TYT.

Nothing but love for WTF. The show has always been one of the best on the network. It's a shame to cut the show. Can't say that about Nerd Alert or Poop Trigger, though. And yet somehow, TYT Sporks survives despite years of incredibly consistent amateur crappiness. As usual, the suits don't know what they're doing. Thank you, What The Flick! Your service will not be forgotten.

The best movies of the 2000s FOR ME are the ones that really pushed the envelope in terms of new cinematic experiences. I feel we had a lot of those recently. Last year Dunkirk and Blade Runner 2049 are quite possibly some of the most beautiful pieces of craftsmanship we have ever seen on the big screen. We also had a Star Wars movie (The Last Jedi) which was one of the most challenging, loved, hated, controversial, talked about blockbusters in recent memory. Mad Max Fury Road was also craftsmanship on a level that we hadn't seen before. Then you have films like There Will Be Blood, and No Country for Old Men that became instant classics. The Dark Knight and Spiderman carved out the future of blockbuster franchise films by doing superhero movies like we'd never seen. The Lord of the Rings movies...
In the same vein, I would add The Bourne Identity - which gave us a new type of spy thriller, excellently crafted; which the new awesome bond borrows from. Memento, of course, for obvious reasons.
So, it's a podcast now, great. But I can't seem to download them. I'm not going to sit at home and listen to a podcast like a freak! Entertain me during my commute to work goddammit!

@FEAR The Walking Don They didn't quit. TYT (Cenk Uygur) messed up with the finances and had to let go all of them. They cut this program as well as others. They are now doing their new show at Christy's own house without getting any money for it.
There Will Be Blood, Schenectady NY, No Country for Old Men, and Mulholland Drive. Not saying they’re my favorite/in the mood to watch all the time, but those are the best overall films( writing, acting, direction etc.) in my opinion.

I think you guys should start your own CZcams channel, I don't always agree with your reviews or political stance, but it's clear you have a raport with one another and the format is ready to roll out to pastures new, away from TYT.
They will be back in June cenk betrayed and hurt everybody that works at TYT the way to get this channel back and heal the pain is by becoming a member at tytnetwork once you do that in June this channel will be back

Nothing but love for WTF. The show has always been one of the best on the network. It's a shame to cut the show. Can't say that about Nerd Alert or Poop Trigger, though. And yet somehow, TYT Sporks survives despite years of incredibly consistent amateur crappiness. As usual, the suits don't know what they're doing. Thank you, What The Flick! Your service will not be forgotten.

The best movies of the 2000s FOR ME are the ones that really pushed the envelope in terms of new cinematic experiences. I feel we had a lot of those recently. Last year Dunkirk and Blade Runner 2049 are quite possibly some of the most beautiful pieces of craftsmanship we have ever seen on the big screen. We also had a Star Wars movie (The Last Jedi) which was one of the most challenging, loved, hated, controversial, talked about blockbusters in recent memory. Mad Max Fury Road was also craftsmanship on a level that we hadn't seen before. Then you have films like There Will Be Blood, and No Country for Old Men that became instant classics. The Dark Knight and Spiderman carved out the future of blockbuster franchise films by doing superhero movies like we'd never seen. The Lord of the Rings movies...
In the same vein, I would add The Bourne Identity - which gave us a new type of spy thriller, excellently crafted; which the new awesome bond borrows from. Memento, of course, for obvious reasons.
So, it's a podcast now, great. But I can't seem to download them. I'm not going to sit at home and listen to a podcast like a freak! Entertain me during my commute to work goddammit!

@FEAR The Walking Don They didn't quit. TYT (Cenk Uygur) messed up with the finances and had to let go all of them. They cut this program as well as others. They are now doing their new show at Christy's own house without getting any money for it.

There Will Be Blood, Schenectady NY, No Country for Old Men, and Mulholland Drive. Not saying they’re my favorite/in the mood to watch all the time, but those are the best overall films( writing, acting, direction etc.) in my opinion.
