Thanks for this, building a test 80cm dish to try on qo100 before I build the 1.5-1.9m dish. Not sure which one I want, for the cost difference, it'll be silly not to go for the 1.9m :). I found annealing the aluminium with a blow torch made it easier to bend, going to use an induction heater next time, cause it uses quite a bit of gas :).
@@couplingconstant the dish has been tested with stainless steel and the measurement results were good, you can also use aluminum but will rust because it is too thin, especially in a sea climate

I use stainless steel mesh with an opening of 3 mm

it also works on the C band.
I use this dish for land connection, I do not use a satellite. I do not use a decoder. it is for radio amateur use
