- A wonderful family sailing adventure in a route från Gothenburg over the Skagerack sea to Norway, crossing the North sea, passing the Limfjord through Denmark, and over Kattegatt sea back to Gothenburg. More than 500 nm of changing weather, from gale and constant rain, to warm,calm and sunny days, interesting harbours and local food specialties.

How fast is Ballad under sails? How roomy she is, for how many persons?
Hi! The Albin Ballad is quite fast under sail to be a 30-foot boat from the 70-ties. It does 6-7 knots easily. Sometimes 8. It has 5 births, but I would say no more than 3 or 4 persons can be accommodated conveniently for more than a few days. It’s a really sturdy and reliable and seaworthy sailboat.

What you think is best boat to buy 30 - 33' for acceptable price from 1975 - 1985?
@@janisspalvins677 Internal height is about 1.85 cm at the pantry. Then it gets shorter as you proceed forward.
The toilet is very small but enough for even grown ups, but more space would have been nice.
@@janisspalvins677 Best boat to buy depends on your personal preferences. Long/short keel, masthead/partial rig, sailing vs living, quality of build, etc and your budget. And what you will use it for.
For us the Ballad has been a great choice. With a bigger family a slightly bigger boat could have been even better. That said, I’ve never met anyone who said they regretted getting a Ballad. But I have met a few who had one, sold it and bought a bigger boat, and then regretted. 😃
