- Wanted to try something different, so I fished out of my kayak for 3 hours on this swift moving, central Maine river. Was able to locate some quality fish throughout the 3 hours. Definitely going to do more of this type of fishing in the future. Hope you enjoy!!
I'm going to Kennebec next week. Staying at a campground on the river. This helps a lot in what to expect for fishing. Thanks!

Unless I'm mistaken, (and I don't think I am), you're in Madison, just below what is known as "The Pines". I've lived there for 35 years and never fished that stretch until last summer. Eyeballed it a lot, just never got around to it. WHAT A MISTAKE! Some fantastic smallmouth fishing there and upstream just a little bit is some great trout and salmon fishing.
