8:19 Run start

Thanks!
Why do some videos take over 8 mins to get to gameplay? This isn't the only video either
What sucks about a run like this that is not nearly enough people have played this game or remember it well enough to even realize how impressive it is. Garadas executed perfectly, so the game just looks an easy kiddie cartoon game like Chip & Dale to a casual observer. Anyone who's played the game would've given him a standing O for how he smoked through that final stage.
thx man..appreciate it
Doctor Handsome Yeah, I spent MONTHS of my childhood trying and failing to beat this game. I beat it once in my entire life, and hung it up after that lol. This game is super punishing. That run was damn near flawless!
You're the first person I've ever heard call Tiny Toons "an easy kiddie cartoon game." It was definitely challenging and nobody I know ever looked down on it or considers it shovelware. This is a legit game.
You might just be making a strawman here.
He means people who don't know the game think it's a kiddie cartoon game, especially since garadas makes it look so easy.
This game took my adult aunt years to beat when I was little. I remember sitting with her for hours, and the day she phoned me to tell me she'd just beaten it. She was almost in tears, a thirty-something-year-old woman. This game and my aunt sparked my passion for videogames
Garadas's playthrough was flawless. Seeing such dedication and skill is moving.
i used to play this all the time as a kid, nice to see some of the strats i used as a kid used here, but i learned a lot of new things from this run!
Just for clarification, the bird who says "Nope nope!" after every stage is named Concord Condor. He was the Tiny Toons equivalent of Beaky Buzzard, the greatest and most vastly-underappreciated original Looney Tunes character.
Side note: As a kid I knew every Tiny Toon character had a Looney Tunes equivalent, but while Elmyra Duff was obviously a female Elmer Fudd, it took me years before I realized Montana Max was the counterpart to Yosemite Sam (it's obvious now; even their names both feature a "Western" US locale). As a kid I thought he was just an original villain for the series.
Kinda like how Babs also was lacking a counterpart/mentor, although they did make an entire episode focused on that fact.
It bugged me for so long that I couldn't find the Looney Tunes counterpart for Concord. Thank you so much for the info =)
Montana Max plays up the "materialistic agribusiness magnate" stereotype to contrast and update Yosemite Sam's irascible gung-ho cowboy.
I took a lot of time to realize that as well, but mainly because I'm not American and didn't have the cultural background to figure out the connection.
This game was the first video game I ever finished. I was so proud when I finally beat the final boss. Great to see it on AGDQ.
Tanya Improves My hat to you. It took me weeks since my dad bought it to clear 1-Elvira and years to defeat the Doc. Sadly, I only got to Max's Mansion once before it quit working....
22:28 Buster makes sure Montana Max is butthurt about being defeated.
Oh, and not to be anal about it, but the bird with the umbrella on his head's name is Gogo Dodo. Loved that character as a kid!
this brought back some good memories
To get to the bonus stage you must have the amount of carrots (fruits) multiple of 11, but it also must be an odd number. Like 11, 33, 55, 77 or 99.
8:17 countdown
I remember having SO much trouble with stage 4 and 5 when I first played this. This guy did an amazing speedrun!
The guy you couldn't remember was Go-go Dodo
This game is actually fantastic. I really liked Tiny Toons when I was a kid, so I was thrilled when my mom finally got it for me. Yes, it was one of many Mario 3 imitators, but it's one of the better ones (along with McKids), and was there a better game to rip off then? If you were alive in 1990, you knew Mario 3 was God status. I've heard people like Mike Matei (a solid gamer) call this game difficult. I always found it pretty easy to beat even as a child, but I was a 2-D platformer nut. Here's a hint: Dizzy all day. Seriously. He's invincible while he spins, and it recharges infinitely.
Awesome Run!! :)
I had this game when I was little. Unfortunately there must have been a problem with our cartridge because the graphics were just constantly glitched up. That together with the Elmyra stages made it one of the scariest games I've ever played! Being able to watch the game normally makes me think it would've been one of my favorites if not for that.
Do. Do.
I think i found a new glitch where you press both left and right on the movement pad to double your speed. I was using an emulator from China but maneged to snag a 12 second run on level one.
Was my favorite game on nes!
¡ Thank You master garada !
9:57 Plucky moonwalk skip!
"We are playing the Japanese version, not because it's faster, but because there is no copyright screen on resets, so it's faster."
bohemethnemeth
On a good run, it wouldn't be faster because it wouldn't have to reset.
well..it's just faster to reset and try another run..not the run itself ;)
hey, it's a legit speed strat, like faster japanese text, heh
I remember this game from my clildhood lol. I was like 8 or 9 years old when I played I am 29 now
I haven't played this game in years. My favorite level was always the pirate ship. I don't think I ever beat the game, though!
Garadas21 I found you! xD

This game looks really cool! Shame what a joke Konami has become recently
Is this game a re-skinned SMB3?
Jimi Crimson Unlikely since there is no record of Nintendo Suing Konami over this.
I got SMB3 vibes from this game back in the day too but no, it's not.
Play it. You'll find out how much it is not smb3 really fast. Not because it is bad, but because while Mario 3 did have some moderate difficulty, this game is extremely hard if you are not speed running it, he's literally flying through levels but if you try that you'd die pretty quickly
The hardest thing is getting that momentum quickly and keeping it..it took me a while to master it and sometimes i still have trouble triggering it.
In the underwater level to do that fast slide you basically abuse some kind of glitch, because you need to press A then down the following frame, and it doesn't work every time.
I will easily beat this record!!!)))I'll go on a lot faster
