This Found Sound play along is inspired by the life and philosophies of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Follow the link to the Extras Package for an advanced version of the play along for your older students. - Hudba
Rest In Power Rev Martin Luther King and Corretta Scott King. Your Dream still lives in my heart in 2024.
One of my favorite things about your posts is that I don’t have to hawk eye screen them! I trust you to be appropriate, not questionable lyrics, etc. It sounds a little silly to say but it’s such a gift!!! Thank you for being a reliable resource.
You are very welcome. I write and produce the background music myself, and I'm very careful about what I expose my own students to so I absolutely understand. Glad to be a reliable resource for you. 🙂
Why you mad? Fix your face 😉
@My Animations YT:D at least this isn't inappropriate for children and this isn't disgusting at all this is for the day of Martin Luther King Jr
@@sweetpea5539 yes have a bright smile!
You are awesome!
I used this video today in my classes, and I love the way you've got it set up. The rhythms are very clear and easy to read, the animation is synced perfectly- and the music was great too! In one class, we even had a little discussion on what Justice means and why it's represented with the scale. You've got quite a lot of great teachable things in here! Thanks!
At a new position I used this video last year, and we have build a process of using your tracks (Listen, Airplay, Say and Play, Say and Play again). We normally clap or use body percussion, but today we will use it to scaffold with recorders, now that we can use them in our district again. Thanks for the great resource!
Thank you for your vision, and your gift for making music with class.
My Students LOVE your videos! Keep on ROCKIN'!!
Thank you! Will do!
This is awesome!! This is needed more than ever! Thank you!!
I love sharing these with my young students. Thanks for you work and your music!
My pleasure!
Thank you. I'm a music educator in Hartford, CT. I'm using your channel as a solid resource. Cheers. I appreciate you.
I love what you do! I use it often in my K-5 lessons. Thank you for sharing!
Excellent!!!!
My students absolutely LOVED this play along, and every class asked if we could do it again (the gold standard of excellence in elementary music!) Thank you for making something so engaging, musical, and great to listen to. I was able to ask the kids to "translate" the icons into notation, which made it a great review for our notational literacy component of the lesson. And of course, it was great to have something musical to do as we spoke about Dr. King's work and legacy. Thank you!
What an amazing way to kick off our MLK learning. Thank you!
also....the chord on 'cry' is on fire
Thank you, Cameron. This is perfect! The kids will love this! 💖
Hello Mr. Moten! We loved it and thank you for the video! We look forward to many more videos! Sincerely, Orwell Village School 4th Grade Class
I love this! I can't wait to share it with my students.
Thank you for these videos! I really appreciate the the seasonal releases! I am excited to try the second level of the MLK Play along with my older students!!
You are very welcome Jennifer! I hope your students like it.
Mr. Moten, Thank you, so much, for sharing your work/lesson based on Dr. King. At a critical time (though it is ALWAYS important) like this, your work provided a springboard for my students and I to discuss Dr. King's legacy and the effects of social justice and equal rights on music in the USA. Thanks for this fantastic resource!
THANK YOU! My students love your videos. Thank you for sharing this very timely video.
As always you knocked it outta the ballpark! Another great video! I love that you treat this as a performance by dressing professionally and conducting. And I love your smile! You look like you're having fun and my students pick up on that attitude. I also like the fact that each phrase is repeated 4 times giving the students extra practice and a chance to get it right. Thank you so much for helping us!!!
Your channel rocks. I've used every one of your videos in my classroom.
Another fabulous video! I am so grateful for your material in my virtual music classroom! Your students must love you!
Thanks so much for your videos. My students always have a great time playing along. I love the repetition and that you help make music fun. THANK YOU!
Love it!! Song and participation💛
My third graders created their own ostinati using Justice and Peace in distance learning. They return to the building on Monday and I am using the ostinati they created in their first lesson back!
My former colleague Kameron , this is good stuff.
This is awesome and perfect for using to highlight not only an incredible activist but also about peace and justice - transdisciplinary links. Thank you. My students loved the Winter Themed one and I know they'll really like this one too.
Thanks, Sally!
Your hair looks gay
Absolutely awesome! thank you for sharing!
I'm fixin' to like and subscribe. Thank you for this great resource.
Thank you for creating these play along activities.
Bless you!!!! I loving using your videos. Thank you so, so much!
You are welcome Baerbel!
I love presenting these to my students. Thank you for creating and sharing your talents. I LOVE that you are using a plastic container, showing that anyone can play percussion, no matter what we have around the house. Also, the conducting is a GREAT addition. The pointer going from note to note is fabulous, perfect for beginning notation-readers. Thanks again, and best wishes.
My lower elementary students were asking when they'd be having another of Mr. Cameron's videos;. Many thanks for making rhythm reading simple and interactive!
You are very welcome!
So inspiring and creative! Thanks again! You ROCK!
Thank you so much for this!! I love your channel!
This is amazing!
Great videos. I have been using them like crazy this year during remote learning! You really cover all the bases with the words, the bouncing arrowing, the counting in. It's been so easy for my students to follow along. Thank you!!!!
Thank you for these amazing videos! I use them as a warm up for my elementary music classes. They keep my students excited about rhythm and help them practice the 4/4 conducting pattern. I appreciate you!
Super cool! A beautiful song, excellent message and cool vibe...
Thank you for the opportunity to help students practice rhythm connected to beat and accompaniment. So clear and acheiveable. Thanks
You are very welcome. I strive to make resources that just work.
Thank you so much for your amazing videos!!! I appreciate all you do to be musically accurate and socially aware/relevant. YOU ARE AWESOME!!!
Thank you so much for continuing to do these play alongs. I teach in New York, and having materials that I can use in person, and when we have to go to fully remote instruction has saved my program this year. I will purchase one of your advanced sets with the hope that it encourages you to keep producing these valuable resources. I also appreciate that you dress so professionally as an example for our students, and the conducting is a great plus as well. Thank you again!
Hi! Love your vids! I am using this with a substitute teacher. I know my students can be successful with it without me being present, which is a huge bonus! Thanks so much for this.
Another great video! Thanks again for being an educational lifesaver!!!
I used your Tempo video last week and the kids really liked it. I think that they really enjoy the way that you involved them in the activity with a lot of reinforcement. I'm going to use your MLK video this week as well. Thank you for all that you do for the kids and for teachers.
Thank you so much! I used your Halloween percussion play along earlier this year and the kids loved it. I knew I could count on you to have another great video for MLK day!!
I love your videos! I've been using them for practicing rhythms with my Harmony Project students. Well done and thank you!
This is an awesome video and perfect for MLK lessons. Thank you so much!!!
I can't wait to share this with my elementary students! You do such great work and these videos are helping so many teachers right now. I also LOVE that you conduct! Something so few kids get to see!! Thank you for making these!
I would really love to see something with half notes and whole notes or dotted half notes instead of sixteenths as a slightly more advanced version. My third and fourth graders aren't quite to sixteenth notes, but QN, EN and QR is a little too easy for them.
Thanks for your feedback Catherine. I've been considering this for a while, and haven't quite figured out how to do it yet. I'll be sending a feedback survey to my email list soon and ask for ideas on how to do that. If you sign up on Elementary GrooveTracks, you can put your two cents in too! 🙂
My students love your videos. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. This is is just what we need today.
Thank you again for working so hard on these videos and sharing them with the rest of us. My students love them and I look forward to them also. Happy new year!
You are very welcome Kate. I'm glad I can share them with you.
Amazing!
Thank you Cameron! We are using your videos to learn and practice rhythms!
Rock on!
Awesome!!
This is so good. I appreciate the time and effort that went into this video and all of your amazing videos. I'm a big fan and I applaud your efforts to help create fun and educational content for our students. Thank you so much!
Thanks Mr. Gordon. This means a lot coming from a fellow music teacher/content creator.
# Cleaverly Making America Better !
Rest in peace
These are the best! Can you make one for the Super Bowl and Valentine’s Day? Thanks so much!
Thank you again for a fantastic play-along video. What is the music that you used for this one? My students want to know. They love it! We talked about how important it is to strive for justice and peace, always, but especially now. We now call you, "Our Friend Cameron." Thanks for being in our class via video!
You are very welcome. I produced the music in this play along specifically for the video. I have a behind the scenes video that shows much of the production process in the Extras package along with the the recording of the background music for this video. I'm proud do be called a friend by you and your students! 😊
I love doing these with my classes. I am wondering if you have any that have any notes other than quarter, double eighth, and quarter rests? My older kids would love something a little more challenging.
Thank you 🙏🏻
Perfect. I like the music too!
Thanks!

Could you make a birthday play along?
My kids want to know if you made the backing track yourself, or if it is a song you found.
Hi Katie. I made it myself. I have a behind the scenes video available in the extras package that shows the process of me making the song.
What song is it
It's a song I wrote for the play along.
"The sound of freedom calling
Can you hear it's cry?
The broken chains are falling
It's time to rise"
VALENTINES DAY IS NEXT PLZ
Owlivia?
I made this video before she started making appearances.
