You know her story is genuine and truthful because she didn't throw up at the end of the monologue :P
Ha clever character reference!
That's awesome...I hope people that read this get the joke..!
Knives Out reference!
I understood that reference

Great monologue, I loved how genuine it was.
Ditto
Not like one of those imitation monologues.
@@camplethargic8 NO FAN "LIBERAL HOLLYWOOD ANA DE ARMAS" 👎🏻👎🏻
u mean boring?
@@camplethargic8the libs in the audience that want socialism here have zero clue about how hard it was for Ana in communist Cuba. My neighbor is Cuban and tells me horror stories about getting here to the US. Fuck socialism, fuck communism
Big fan of Ana since Knives Out, always giving her all for every role
Cant wait for ghosted
No Time For Die is what introduced me to her. I’m so happy to know she exists after that.
I loved her in Knives Out!! I was rooting for her so much in that movie
She was amazing in war dogs that’s where I first saw here and how she got the role is even crazier
I fell in love with her. When i saw her in Blade Runner i think.
She just seems so genuine. So talented and deserving ❤
But daddy...
The key to success is sincerity - once you can fake that, you've got it made.
Deserving? I don't think so.
@dula peepee ah, then the troll always has to show up no positive comments on their watch
@@darylmoon1968 when i said that i meant that she got far because of her looks. It's literally so obvious but yall keep deniying that lol yes she's talented ofc but she made it in Hollywood due to her pretty privilege 🤷♀️
Many actors are revered for being able to cry on cue. Here, SHE showed her ability to expertly hold BACK tears. Very touching.
For someone who came into Hollywood so late compared to other actors and not even speaking English as a first language, she's doing really well.
She’s gorgeous, especially when competing with equally talented actors, she will stand out. I wonder if very attractive people realize this about their own career success.
She is talented but she was an already established actress in Spain before moving here.
She's been in the movie industry since she was a child. It's not like she was waiting tables and driving uber while doing auditions. She was just a millionare who was tired of paying high taxes in Cuba.
She doesnt waste her time hating others.
@@theprecipiceofreason “tired of paying high taxes in Cuba” lmao
Not gonna lie, I teared up when she said she's becoming a citizen in 3 weeks. Welcome to our great nation! We welcome you with open arms. ❤
Right?!? "The more the merrier!" Love multiplies. So many amazing, talented, intellectual people entering our proximities. How blessed we are!

ME TOO!!!!
Beautiful, classy and she can ACTUALLY act! 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼
Ain't she an actress 😅
Her English has improved so much! Awe she did great! I've seen her Spanish movies before the English ones she really is such a talented actress.I'm glad she is finally getting the recognition she is getting.😃
I have been a fan of hers since years ago. On Netflix I would watch movies and shows from Spain like “Las Chicas del Cable”, “Gran Hotel” and others. In one of those shows there was a series called “El Internado”. It was a scary tv show from Spain about students who go to a boarding school, and them solving the mysteries of the things that happened there. Ana de Armas was one of the actors alongside other of my favorite spanish actors Blanca Suarez, Martiño Rivas and Yon Gonzalez. That was the very first time I ever saw Ana acting. And seeing her on her journey, becoming such a big star in America. It makes me feel really proud of her. I love her and admire her so much. I too have a dream of becoming an actor. And to see someone, not just a latina, but someone with such a big heart like hers, following her dream. Coming from another side of the world to make it to the big time. That’s something to admire. When someone never gives up their dream. Ana te queremos mucho! Eres tremenda actriz y quisiera conocerte algun día en persona! Te envio un beso y un abrazo desde Puerto Rico! 👏🏻🥺💜💕🎬🎞🎥✨
That’s so nice, you have to see “Una Rosa de Francia” was her very first movie and she was 16 years old, that was the first time I saw her but I’m Cuban so have been always following her career.
I watched Internado in High School Spanish class. Absolutely wild to see her success and I'm so happy for her :)
Same! I share all your sentiments - watched el internado years ago and it's wild to see her break thru American media and I just love seeing her shine.
Internado was so lit
I first saw her in “El internado” too. She has come a long way👏👏👏
I came across this lovely young lady in Knives Out her performance blew some well established actors out of the water, and has made me watch the movie again and again ❤❤
Never thought I'd see Ana De Armas do a Chandler bing.
I'm Cuban and I approve this message 💪
So does Antonio Montana!!!
She oooozes charm. I wish she and Marion Cotillard would do a movie together. 💙
Ipanties and shorts of all sexual orientations would explode, internationally. U could see it from space, im told.
She's going to be the most loved, most paid leading actress in Hollywood let me also add most deserved... she's a national treasure.
She’s such a sweetie! Probably one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen, and she’s genius!
Loved her in "Blade Runner 2049".
She's so gorgeous in that movie it's painful
@@wking8 I thought she was beautiful. I am straight but I kinda wanted to be in her presence.
heart breaking performance.
She played that character so well! We are left to wonder if her feelings were real or simulated, and if it even really matters? The whole movie was genius at raising this question on many levels, yet it goes right over so many people's heads. It is an issue that is becoming more and more relevant as technology progresses, and makes us reexamine what it really means to be sentient and human.
The most emotional and funny monologue she NAILED IT!!! Que bueno verla lograr sus sueños 🫶🏼
She's come such a long way!
From Cuba? Not that far.
How long is it?
@@chrisjfox8715like 20 miles or so
@@rosenbergjr10 Hope, she didn't have to swim 😁
@@rosenbergjr10 She made a detour to Spain, so quite far.
Everything about her screams simplicity. The monolouge was completely heartfelt and represented pure joy. She was happy and greatful gor the journey she had undergone. She was very sweet and adorable in this session.
Aparte de que es hermosa, es super talentosa!! Se merece lo mejor ❤
I LOVE HER SOOOO MUCH!
What a sincere monologue !
Venga Ana. Eres increíble, desde El Internado sabía que ibas a llegar lejos. And this is just the beginning, can't wait to see how far you go.
That was an awesome show tonight, she did an amazing job!
Estamos muy orgullosos de nuestra coterranea! Éxitos Miles!!! Los mereces 🇨🇺❤️
The first time that I remember seeing Ana De Armas in was a film from 2015 called “Knock Knock” that had Keanu Reeves in the lead role. It’s great to see her career gather momentum. Her character Paloma from “No Time To Die” was brilliant and she really threw herself into the action roles. She was awesome in Blade Runner 2049, Knives Out and The Gray Man! Looking forward to seeing her Ghosted.
Beautiful introduction!
A great team of talented artists Live from New York 🤩 Looking forward to the fun. ❤️
It’s nice that she knows when she will become a citizen. I had to fight more than 10 years to get my papers done to become Belgian and didn’t knew when my day would come. Lucky girl.
You get a letter from USCIS about a month before telling you the date you take the natzs test and then you might be sworn in in the afternoon if you pass the test. Otherwise, you pass the test then they will send you a letter in advance telling you when you will be taking the oath. 🗽
I got a letter a month before I I became a US citizen. After I took my exam that same day, I became a citizen
There’s not a ton of countries more racist than the US. But Belgium is DEFINITELY one of them.
@Alex Alex you misread what I said.
@@earsbeats Usa Racist ? Really ? Black president, Indian CEOs in the biggest companies in the world, the richest man in world is from South Africa, Jeff besos father is Cuban , so I can continue !!! There is no other place in the world where an immigrant can achieve so much without being discriminated . Don’t be mistaken there are racist people but the country itself isn’t , is a free and open country to any culture with opportunities for everyone .
She made me giggle. Everyone did great this week.
I love her with all my heart
Incredibly genuine and heartfelt!!! Love it.
I think this episode was good because I liked some of the skits that they did and I think she did amazing for being the host for the first time
Hands down one of the all-time best SNL monologues.
You are delusional
Louie CK and Bill Burr were way better 😮💨
Aaaaaaaw the story about Robert DeNiro is so sweet, what a vibe
Me encanta esa chica, aparte de bella es muy talentosa ❤
A good monologue. She's come a long way from years ago to now becoming a U.S. citizen. Incredible!
How can you not love Ana de Armas!
The fact that four of the most popular actors right now are Latinos (Ana, Pedro Pascal, Oscar Isaac and Anya Taylor-Joy) fills me with so much joy! 🤩🇨🇴 🇲🇽 🇻🇪 🇨🇺 🇧🇷 🇨🇱
Racist
Anya Taylor-Joy is Latina?
@@daniellederer293 Yea, Argentinian
But out of all of them, only for Ana English wasn't her first language. Pedro and Oscar are basically from the US, and Anya, although born in Argentina, is British. Long way to go for Hollywood to have true diversity and representation.
@@magswrobel You just highlighted the diversity of the Hispanic community. Sasha Calle (Colombian), who just played Super Girl, is also rising right now.

Short but sweet. Nice monologue from Ana.
im watching this right after finding out Matthew Perry died :((((
Just imagine being Robert De Niro, and carrying such a presence that anywhere you go you can step into random people's lives even if only for a moment or two, and then leave them in awe and disbelief... jesus that might be exhausting.
Loving the Latin representation. ❤ Thanks SNL!
Yesssss!!!! So proud of her!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
She is great, so natural and came to USA at 26 and speak that English is awesome, she is a smart girl and a great actress.. blessing Ana, see you around.
She’s my favorite I’m so proud 🥹 ❤
I thought her monologue was very sincere but I was worried that she wasn't going to be very funny. I don't know if there's better writing, the new cast energy or some great hosts, but going back to Pedro Pascal, SNL has been REALLY killing it. Quinta Brunson, Pedro Pascal, Jenny Ortega (honorable mention to Travis Kelce) have all been hysterical and Ana was no different. I have been a fan for years, but this year is really standing out
Yes first one!!! Estás fenomenal Ana! Mucho orgullo !
That's the best speech I seen on this gig not that I seen many. Soo full of surprises and heart felt and that's saying since from the bottom of my heart I want de Niro to go down like mussolini; no pardons allowed
What a weird thing to say. You want DeNiro to go down like Mussolini? Pardons? What?
Ana , eres un orgullo para los hispanos ❤
Pero no para los cubanos
