Brings back some 80’s memories for me .. USA Up all Night ! Wow I forgot about that . And of course HBO and Cinemax . Always liked this movie and made me think of Summer Time .. I still have it on DVD with some other classics from the Glorious 80’s .. great job as always with the Locations
I can remember seeing the video box for this in video stores in the 80s everywhere. I also recognize the actor who plays Hunter, Gary Wood. Apparently he had some kind of heart surgery a few years back and there's a video on youtube/Facebook of him talking about how it saved his life.

Love your channel. In the mid 80s I went to a friend's, and we watched Hardbodies and Breakin II back to back. A month later I went to Atlantic City, and at a surf shop bought several Jimmy Z, Gotcha, and Catchit T shirts. Still have them

Love this movie. I have it in a box set called 80's Overdose 6 Movie collection. It has The Legend of Billie Jean, Spring Break, Perfect, Private Resort and Little Nikita.

This is so cool, I used to go down to Hermosa every year for the beach volleyball championships and we stayed at the Sea Spray motel. Old school.
I remember this coming out in the summer of 1984. It and "Bachelor Party" seemed to be the T&A highjinks movies of the year. I wouldn't see them until at least a decade later.

It was on Cinemax every few nights in the late 1980s.
This was originally a short story in Penthouse magazine and was set in Newport Beach, Ca were I lived at the time. It described then present day (and nights) right on target.
Loved the video...Hardbodies star Grant Cramer-running hot at the time due to the success of the film (it was such a hit all over the globe it spawned a popular sequel)-histed a bikini contest held next to a World Surfing Contest in Huntington Beach in either 1987...I know for sure (i was on the fourth row next to a few drunkards).

We had ON TV but I remember Select. Select just played movies if I remember right. We had ON TV because they had baseball games and boxing. ON also had late night porn if you paid extra.
Yep. That’s where I first saw this. It was what we had up until late 87 when we got regular cable in Sacramento.

I just watched this movie on Tubi and it’s pretty fun. Yes there’s lot of nudity but it’s a pretty funny story and the characters are likable . SoCal in the 80s was a happening place

I went to high school with the blond in the black bikini that drops the towel on the beach in the opening of the movie. She actually in a couple of scenes in this movie. Infact it's our fortieth high school reunion this year.
The internet, and cell phones destroyed that Era. I remember having to actually go meet people and talk to them. Up until the early 2000s maybe.

The beach is so dead and lifeless. It's sad so many stores all across LA are closed or going to be closed soon.
People shop online. Go to the beach on a June beautiful day. It will be packed people gotta work.

It won't be packed. Even several shops on the Venice boardwalk are closing. Check out 'German in Venice.' Go check out 'Metal Leo'. Stores closing in Beverly Hills. Look up reports at how many jobs were lost with the new minimum rate hike, and trickling effects it has on other fields besides fast food. Oakland, SF, Downtown LA are becoming ghost towns. I use to go to this beach all the time from the late 80's to the mid 2000's, and it's a shell of it's former self. CA has become a failed state.

I got into an argument with my older brother Ron over Blue Thunder vs Airwolf, I say Blue Thunder he says Airwolf. He's got this 6 foot Airwolf RC that he never lets anyone play with because everyone is stupid except him (I let him play my drums because I'm a good brother) and I said a Blue Thunder RC would be cooler. Anywho, that got me thinking, there should be a filming location video for Blue Thunder.
