tbo that spoiler design does not fit the i8 at all I have seen better ones the i8s design is really smooth with lines that flow thought the car and that spoilers square design just seems odd there.

Bro the 740 is a money pit one thing you can do is to part it out and make some profit for the new build or fix the transmission but for the repair cost of the transmission it won't be worth it!
You can also use it as a daily (with the transmission issue) for a while and then part it out!

As for the 740li get the 400$ part see if it fixes it if not just return the part haha. And then sell it as is and cut your losses. Spending 1.5k on a transmission is something you might not be able to make back after selling the car!

I have seen f01 transmission and it’s nothing special from all others transmission from Bmw. Just go to junkyard find the part that contributes the issue. Call it a day!
I rewatched the video a bit. Are you talking about the mechatronic that communicate with the transmission unit? I suggests you to go to junkyard to get the part from a E60. It’s exact same part, no needed to take its apart just swap the whole mechanism.
