    New iX1600 6-12-22. Installed at once and worked on 1st try. Home personal use on 4 year old DELL XPS PC that went from WIn 8 to Win 11. Set to connects with WiFi.

      Great to hear this type of feedback from customers. Thank you. That’s why we love the ScanSnap scanners :-)

    PS To anyone who may wish to know. I am confident after second use today the iX 1600 is a keeper and so I binned the packaging. Several add-on enhancements for Scansnap software OCR and exporting downloads 'popped up' and I presume will be are of great value.
    Now on second use the next day, it is now either or both on wifi or USB (I don't care..I flip lid and it's ready). Because yesterday I shut down and disconnected, today it did not readily connect. Set again wwih Key to my Wifi. Got it going and repositioned unit to where I want to keep it ready for use. Set profile to scan to folder I choose for all scans : saved to the appropriate profile.

    Kudos on the video. Like stevenj2, I'm also a big fan of the new iX1600. Great products! =)

      @@northamberplc. You are most welcome. I will certainly let you know if I have anything to advise on in the future. In the meantime, if you're interested, please take a look at my CZcams channel too. I would appreciate any insights that you may have. 🙂

    I was an early adopter. My ix1500 does not have a “touch screen.” All the support articles advise various uses of this nonexistent feature. Guess I bought a Scansnap i1450.

    Is there a way to automatically name a scanned document based on text in the document (the text is always in the same place).

    • @northamberplc
      @northamberplc  Před 2 lety +1

      Thanks for your question. ScanSnap Home software auto names the file but it uses what it considers to be the “headline text” on that document. If you wanted to capture text on a particular part of the document you can do this with the SP-N or fi range using the PaperStream software it comes with. You would simply create a template to do this and then use that template when scanning that document. A good scanner to look at would be the SP-1130N. Please let us know if you would like a better discussion on this and we could have a call. Our Document Managament team are always here to recommend the best products on 0208-296-7010.

    The scanner is good but the software is clumsy as hell!

    • @northamberplc
      @northamberplc  Před 2 lety

      The iX1500 is aimed at small business and comes with the "home" software to maximise ease of use. If you are looking for more sophisticated software then you should consider the "fi" range which comes with more advanced software. I liked the old software I ha don my system that allowed me to scan in documents and see all the pages on one screen as they were scanned in and added to the screen. No I can only see one page at a time as it is scanned in. Help. I liked the old software much better. More user friendly.

    I am not able to modify multi pages scan jobs. If I scan 10 Sheets at once, which should be saved in 3 files (file A has 4 sheet, file B has 1sheet, file C has 4sheet), it is not possible in the software to manually edit. Do you have a solution?

    • @northamberplc
      @northamberplc  Před 2 lety

      The ScanSnap series of scanners can detect and separate different types of documents within the same batch, i.e. Documents, Photos, Business Cards & Receipts. If the scanned batch only includes sheets classed as “Documents”, these documents can be separated per fixed number of sheets, i.e. every 1, 2 or 3 sheets but unfortunately not in the manner you describe.
      Document separation as you describe is a feature available with the Fujitsu range of document scanners. Separator sheets can be introduced into the batch of documents at the desired points of separation. The bundled capture application PaperStream Capture can detect the separator sheet and performs the desired separation. More info at northamber.com/fujitsu

    How do I merge documents in ScanSnap Home?

    • @northamberplc
      @northamberplc  Před 2 lety

      With ScanSnap Home it is possible to merge pages of a document. It is however not possible to merge multiple documents into a single document. This requires a PDF editing application such as Kofax Power PDF, bundled with the ScanSnap iX1500, iX1600 & SV600 document scanners. More info at northamber.com/fujitsu

    I have a ScanSnap S1500... Fujitsu doesn't even make a macOs application for it, and your app "can't find the USB" ... a third party VueScan company has a 15mb app that can find it "in a snap" Your developers should be ashamed of themselves! Fujitsu should hang their heads in shame. My ScanSnap is a doorstop until I pay Vuescan a monthly fee to use their program. This is NOT how you treat your customers! :( grrrrrr

      @@northamberplc Thank you for responding! I'm sorry if you're not the developer of the app. I downloaded their Windows application which still seems to work and I installed it on an old laptop so I can hook it up to my Fujitsu. I bought it for over 500 dollars canadian. I can now scan using windows but it's a headache as I'm a Mac user. Thank you for forwarding the comments. These are really good machines hardware wise, but I don't want to pay monthly fee to vuescan after paying so much for the device itself. Unfortunately the re is no place to give our comments except misdirected ire at people who are only trying to support the devices. My apologies!

      Our mates at Fujitus added: Merging two existing PDF documents requires PDF editing software. Thankfully, PFU bundles a license of the PDF editing software “Kofax Power PDF Standard” with the purchase of a ScanSnap iX1500 document scanner.
      For more information on how to merge two existing documents in Kofax Power PDF Standard, please view the following webpage of the Kofax website: www.kofax.com/eg/power-pdf/learning-how-do-you-combine-multiple-pdfs-into-one-file

      @@northamberplc Thanks so much, sorry, you're not the manufacturer and I commented on your channel as you're the only ones even bothering to reach out to customers. Thanks for all your work. I have been able to install a windows only version. I will think twice before buying another Fujitsu product though.
