I'm white and my wife's black. We've been together for almost 10 years. We have two beautiful kids (6 and 3). We get looks from people all of time. She's told me before that she's gotten looks from black men like she's betraying her race. No one says anything but actions speak louder than words. Even in 2023 it's almost unacceptable for a black woman to be with a white guy and it baffles us.
I’m so sorry that happens to you guys… it’s sad that this world focuses on race and not their personalities, as the people said in this video, if you guys care for each other, and respect each other, that’s all that matters😊❤️
Where are you guys from? I feel like the treatment varies depending on city/country. I’m sorry y’all have to deal with that, just know you are not alone and that your love is resistance against every form of weaponized ignorance in this world. Your love is what many of those miserable people lack in their own lives. Your wife didn’t and hasn’t betrayed ANYONE for finding JOY, especially since she belongs to herself and herself only. I’m hope your kids are beautiful. Keep each other centered. There is more love out there than hate 🙏🏾
I am very sorry that you experience this...and though it might not be the same situation as yours, I am an American gay man who is married to an Italian gay man and we live in Italy and we cannot walk hand in hand or show any PDAs, here..We went to Paris this past Christmas (2023) and it was so nice, after 10 years together and 8 married, to be able to be openly demonstrative. Nothing over the top but just holding hand as we walked through the Louvre was so, so refreshing. Italy, sadly, is quite behind the times, socially, and the odd thing here is that a couple of mixed race is not seen as odd or a "threat" to one color or the other, but 2 men? In the US, it is a but different as 2 men could walk down pretty much any street in any town (outside of the South) and no one would say anything but you and your wife....? Not so much and it is so terribly sad and unjust. When we are gone...in 100 years or less, there will be no more "3 races" but colors of all types and shades everywhere because many people are looking, as corny as it sounds, at the person and not the color or shade of a certain color. With hope, your children will not experience what you and your wife do. In the interim, we move forward setting the ground for those who come after. Also, we tend to remember those who disapprove..but for every person who disapproves, there are 2 that think nothing of it. We just don't see them, as they are just doing their own things as we, you, do yours. I wish you peace, sir. PS..sorry for writing so much.

My grandma is full mexican and my grandfather (who passed away before I was born) was A tall Irish man with freckles and a ginger beard. My grandmas family hated him so much because he was white, even when he would take time off work to fix up their house or cars, they would still show pure hatred for him. And together, they made my beautiful mom who has both Latina and Irish genes, and she’s absolutely GORGEOUS! Love whoever makes you feel loved and special, because the personality ALWAYS outshines the color of your skin.
1:43 when she said that, my blood boiled I’m a biracial kid and tbh this is infuriating that even mixed kids like me will still face discrimination like this. It really doesn’t matter who you are, you will still somehow face this sad truth
Thank you. Listen, I'm still technically considered a "youngster," and I just want to know- is it okay for me to be interested in other races? I don't care what someone's race is- if God wants them in my life, so be it. I've watched videos saying biracial people struggle because of their mixed parents, is this true?... I don't see race as a limitation, though many do. Is it wrong? I have been raised to love people- always...
Thank you for those words. You are right, Dr. King didn't not teach racism.. He taught Love.. I once lived in Atlanta, and I'm very lighted skinned from LA. I was not accepted by my own black people even though I am black, born and raised black, negro is my race on my birth certificate. I came back to Texas because it borders Louisiana and there isn't as much discrimination between light and darl skinned blacks...
I'm Mexican and my husband is white. We're high school sweethearts but I remember how in high school a couple of "friends" bashed me and him because we were dating outside our own race. Nonetheless it hurt me very bad that at somepoint I broke up with him because of what others told us. Thankfully, I learned to not care what others said and now we've been together for 5 years and 1 year and a half of marriage.
I am Mexican and my parents do not approve of my Nigerian husband. They did not attend my beautiful african wedding. I have 2 beautiful daughters that they have not met. It's sad that they only see him for his color, and not how he treats me, like a Queen.
Praying that God touches your parents heart, and to move the scales from their eyes to see love how Christ does. To you and your family be well, be happy and be blessed, God knows your heart.
I know right and although the line was scripted there are people around today who say shit like that. They've never been a slave and they want reparations from people who have never owned slaves, then wonder where the animosity comes from
So jamal is a muslim guy. The guy who was saying this line is a white american and he was defending a bf of an african american❤ Welcome to our very own USA where we all live together and we all love each other no matter what😊😊
This whole thread of comments is just plain ass stupid. Yall make black women seem like just sex objects and their are great black men out there who work and take care of their children. As someone with a mixed background, with my mom being east and south east asian as well as middle eastern, and my dad being Dutch, Slavic, Mediterranean and Scandinavian, my parents have both told me stories where they experienced similar things growing up, and honestly it genuinely breaks my heart and makes me want to cry that this stuff happens

I wish people would understand that when talking about slavery. The descendants of slaves have no idea what they actually went through. People these days seriously think they know what it’s like & bring it up as if all of their white peers are doing it.
*I don't support the argument that slavery should be used to guilt trip people...but we cant act like slavery has NO impact on the people in america today.* Millions of us could be in Africa right now. Millions of us wouldn't be at the bottom of the economy because we're still trying to catch up to the people who aren't in the ghettos, or weren't born into suffering families. Millions of us wouldn't be fighting each other, being killed, and or killing in the streets just to survive. Millions of us would have families, whether or not those families were whole, they wouldn't be so broken. Millions of us wouldn't have to deal with the hate and bias portrayed in the media, or hate others. We wouldn't be bullied, we wouldn't have a divide just because someone has a different skin tone. All these things have been products of the economic and social divide brought down on us the second slavery started and ended. *So I in no way suggest we bully white people, because that's stupid. They as a whole aren't responsible. But I don't want to sit here, and allow people to think that slavery has nothing to do with how people are hurting and struggling to survive, and how we were brought here without a choice, and now that we're not enslaved, we're expected to fix what we NEVER chose to be.* Yeah not all white people enslaved us. Good job. Thank you. But you know what a lot of white people, *black people*, Asian, Indian, etc are doing? Ignoring the problem that DID HAPPEN, and refusing to help themselves and other people
In all honesty, slavery has affected so many groups (not just in america) of all ethnic groups, and no one is doing anything about those groups who've been affected. Whether they're white or black. Everyone keeps brushing it off. It's an actual issue.
Random dude Furthermore, not only do you act like you've never been to America, your fucking comments are proof that you didn't read a word of what I wrote. Where as I blamed NO ONE. YOU'D KNOW THIS if you read my complete comment.
I honestly can feel this issue and I’ve experienced people saying I’m not Hispanic enough and “whitewashed” just because my mother is white. That is not how to push for equality.

@Rose Orchard People aren't saying forget about the history they're saying don't pretend that you experience what your ancestors maybe went through don't pretend you did. They're also not having sex with the oppressors you need to remember this sentence and remember it well "You are not your ancestors neither is anyone else." I can't tell you what to think or feel it's not my place but this is not the 1800 we are in the 2000s but hey if you want to live a sad life full of hatred that's your choice.
Rose Orchard I don’t hate black people at all and I’m not going to say what your saying isn’t right Bc I’ve never been through what a black person probably goes through but I think your ancestors would be happy that change is starting to happen we have a long way to go but love is love if a black woman loves a white man than let her it’s who she loves the same goes for a black man and a white woman or a black man and a white man or a black woman and a while woman it doesn’t matter if they love each other and treat each other right than who are we to stop them for their to be change we all have to work together
@Rose Orchard Racism is not only black and white. Blacks used to enslave other blacks back then, what I'm trying to say here is that racism is man made and as long as you speak about it, it will grow like cancer grows. I'm a Greek guy who's ancestors suffered 400 of slavery from Ottomans, so If you think that you are the only race that suffered enough you are fooling yourself. As a Greek, I never did anything bad to you, so why do you hate my skin colour? Skin colour racism is 90% American thing. And stop being so ignorant, there isn't any black or white, yellow or red, there is only one race "human". Peace
@@ImSiCJim Chattel slavery is totally different than many other slavery that went on. Greeks today still have their language and culture, people who are Descendents of slaves don't. As a white man dating a black woman for over four years I’ve never dealt with anything like this. Not once. It just must not be common in Texas.
Mmmh something seems off about this...
@@Florian-tg9kc the only reason it seems off is because the media wants you to think there’s some sort of race war when it couldn’t be further from the truth.

Texas is the bestest! Yes, it's your area which is pretty cool.
Nonetheless it hurt me very bad that at somepoint I broke up with him because of what others told us. Thankfully, I learned to not care what others said and now we've been together for 5 years and 1 year and a half of marriage.
Good for you guys, I'm glad you're both happy together now ❤ congrats on your marriage

But I don't want to sit here, and allow people to think that slavery has nothing to do with how people are hurting and struggling to survive, and how we were brought here without a choice, and now that we're not enslaved, we're expected to fix what we NEVER chose to be.*
Yeah not all white people enslaved us. Good job.

People aren't saying forget about the history they're saying don't pretend that you experience what your ancestors maybe went through don't pretend you did.
They're also not having sex with the oppressors you need to remember this sentence and remember it well "You are not your ancestors neither is anyone else."
I can't tell you what to think or feel it's not my place but this is not the 1800 we are in the 2000s but hey if you want to live a sad life full of hatred that's your choice.
Peace
