- Lincoln and Donovan plan to gate-crash Lou Maracno's Fundraiser which he's hosting onboard his Riverboat in the Bayou. A fair amount of "collateral damage" occurs but at least the alligators won't go hungry...
This is one of my favourite set-pieces in the game. A great shootout combined with the surrounding detail of alligators devouring the screaming party guests in the water as they attempt to escape the sinking boat. Impressive cutscenes in this part as well!

This is one of the best missions in the game (for me) not only because of the high level of cruelty there is, but also because of the psychological terror that anyone could have if they got out of there alive and the addition of the Green River song in the background it gives a 10/10 touch to the moment the protagonist pulls out the knife.
It's one of the best, along with "Kill Olivia Marcano" (spiking the party with LSD then shooting your way out of the Country Club), though I'd argue most of the main missions are enjoyable and deserved more praise. People focused way too much on criticizing the racket missions that the main story sequences went underappreciated. They're some of the best in the trilogy.
@@Willzyyy I agree with you, they only grabbed at criticizing everything secondary that there was to do, that they ignored the entire main plot, moreover, even when Lincoln talks to the Irishman's daughter, a great moment of development is felt between the two, as it is so deep that even they sigh, the case how they held it in investigation mode, how they talked about what Lincoln did in documentary mode along with the missions you mentioned MAFIA III is undoubtedly a great game
@@Willzyyy Can't wait for a Mafia 4 set in the 70's or early 80's. I wanna see what other chaos Lincoln's revenge spree in this game caused down the line. Maybe a story set in Vegas? With the return of some familiar faces? I hoped GTA would do a present day rip on that. But since they're going back to Miami...
This game is so buggy that the song didn't even play the last time I played this mission. In fact the cutscene didn't work, only the subtitles did. I had to come here to watch the cutscene again.

Mafia game really deserve to get adapted into TV show like The Last of Us.
After replaying this I can honestly say that the writing is brilliant and probably the best in the series. I honestly forgot how good it was.

It had that bit of a twist to it instead of Sal honestly.

Since Lou was the face of the city it was ironic he publicly displayed him.
The scene with Sammy's become a parking lot is really mean something to Father James, but the rebuilt Sammy's in DLC really questionable since the scene actually made before DLC even announced. But I got a theory if Lincoln again lost the bar either he become a boss or exiled. Should he become a boss, either Marcano remnants took revenge by destroying Sammy's or one of The Commission actually sent an attack on Lincoln crime family since The Commission still have a bad blood with Lincoln or simply a retaliation and the reason why they destroy the bar because that place is important for Lincoln. But if Lincoln left the town, the bar might gone forever due to the racist group like Remy Duvall brotherhood destroying the bar for "cleansing" the black community and since there are no one who wanted to protect it, the bar is gone forever and for good.

I 100% completed this game. 2 of the achievements were bugged and I had to complete them a whole day each. it was a gauntlet. I dont think ill ever touch it again
I admit I wouldn't be bothered to 100% the game, the highlights are definitely the main story segments but I still enjoy the progression of taking over the map. The racket missions don't bother me too much. I like to do a few side missions to get some bonus perks and guns but that's it.
@@Willzyyy the thing I admire most about it is the psychological warfare Lincoln can inflict on others. first they underestimate him, and he proves them wrong and everything goes into turmoil

When they say this game is underrated it is really true because this game although it doesn't have the same benefits like mafia 2 however this game taught me alot the cruelty against black people for example if you were immediately attacked by some gangs the police won't stand by you instead they go against you and here another great thing the system of the mafia and how it works out those components made a very unique game.

So we had 1930s in first Mafia, 1940s/early 1950s Mafia II, 60s in III. If we could get 80s Miami that would be banger. GTA went for present time with the VI, but the proper Scarface style game with modern graphics and great storyline would be a bestseller.
