    Thank you. Perfect instructions. My varios became totally stuck when I washed them after riding several days in strong dust. This is what I needed to fix them.

    je suis tombé avec mon 1200gs et la valise vario gauche s'est quelque peu tordu. Cette vidéo m'a permis de la démonter et de la replacer en configuration optimale.
    Merci pour ce tuto

      Parfait . Je n'ai jamais vu l'intérieur de la valise Vario du GS 1250 .
      Alors, le système d'engrenage est-il toujours le même ?

    Salut!
    Very well explained. Only, mine is stuck. Can I disassemble while not expended?

      @Er-Tirzan  Před rokem

      Hallo. If the vario is not expanded the 4 screws that I mention at 1:15 of this video remain unaccessible. You may try to start with the screws on the backside that I mention at 1:50, those required to remove the internal left and right plastic panels. Than try to move and or pull the panels trying to gain acces to the 4 screws of 1:15. If still not accessible, you can try to slide in a key #8 to block the nuts that held the 2 external wheels of the mechanism ( the 2 whels without theets). If you can grab the nut than will be easy to remove the correspoding screw from the panel. At that point the panel will be free to be removed. Dont worry if doing this alternative way all the 4 wheels will fall down. Once it is all in your hands will be easy to reposition all of them. If you do it please let me know if it was successful

      I was double thinking to what I told you before. I realized now that you need to rotate in any case the handle bar about 30° until an angle sufficient to extract it . At that point the 4 screws of 1:50 will be visible.
      Did you try to spray wd40 inside all around the channel where the vario slides?
      There is a rubber gasket there that if gets dirty will become very hard to slide

      Hi Er,
      You answer to each person in their language! I wonder what’s yours? Mine in fact is French.
      Thanks you for the quick answers. That’s what I thought. I used a welder long nose and unscrew the inside one of the teethed wheel. It was very jammed together. I even sanded some specific area. I have a GS 650F 2013 and the luggage are pretty much the same. One side is fine and the other one has way too much friction. I will get better silicon and might sand some more and polish before lubricate.
      I got the bike used and it had been rented for a couple years.

    bonjour, comment avez vous fait pour démonter le couvercle ? merci

    • @Er-Tirzan
      @Er-Tirzan  Před 2 lety

      À 8min03, j'ai fini de retirer toutes les vis et les pièces internes. À ce stade, le couvercle est libre. Placez la valise sur le sol avec le couvercle vers le haut. Serrez la moitié inférieure entre vos deux pieds et soulevez progressivement la moitié supérieure avec vos mains jusqu'à ce qu'elle sorte complètement. Dans la vidéo j'avais besoin des deux mains et pour cela j'ai arrêté l'enregistrement pendant que j'enlevais le couvercle.
