Now this isn't just any 1968 Dodge Charger... the story behind this one is incredible. If you're a fan of Steve McQueen and the classic car chase scene in Bullitt, you might recognize this Charger. Restored in Southern California by Just Driven, this vehicle was intended to be built and sold to a movie studio for a recreation of the famous film, Bullitt (and we guarantee getting behind the wheel will make you feel like you're in one). This classic Charger found its way to our garage where we upgraded some parts to make it better than new.
This Big Block Charger boasts a 440ci Magnum V8 and sends power through its Silver Sport T56 6-speed manual transmission. Modern creature comforts throughout; along with a fully upgraded QA1 coilover suspension kit, FiTech's Fuel Injection classic black 600hp EFI kit, Wilwood Power disc brakes & master cylinder, an Edelbrock intake manifold, Power steering, Stainless tubular headers, Dual Electric Fans and it doesn't stop there. To keep the essence of what this car really was; we included some American Racing 'Groove' wheels paired with Falken tires, custom EvansCNC badging, Vintage Air A/C, an incredible restored factory vinyl interior, and all to compliment that pristine triple black paint👇

Love to win owned a couple when I was younget
Another beautiful Charger. A Manual Transmission to boot.
Not a muscle car w/o manual trans....😂
It's great when people document the work they do to their car. You guys and the other group put a lot of love into this car!
Great job! 👍🏾
Those hideaway lights get me everytime
I promised my dad I would get one before he passed and I'm still yet to find one. This would be a miracle if I got it
My Dad had a tripple black 68 in high school in the 70s, and it was stolen. He always would talk about that car over the years growing up at home. If I win, I'm one hundred percent giving it to my Dad! I can imagine the look on his face when I pull up in the driveway and hand him the keys!
Omg I love this 68 charger 😮 especially the black it’s amazing
I would’ve changed the color if I Win I’ll change the color
To what? If I would I’ll maybe change it to maybe white or the red keep the roof color
@@aiziknguyen6255....it's a car that was going to be in the remake movie of Steve McQueen's bullitt....and you want to change the color.....WTF.... it's perfect exactly the way it is.....to quote Niko Moon.....she ain't you🤠🤠🤠
The only thing missing is me behind the wheel. She's amazing! You guys nailed it once more!!! Such great talent throughout!
Really like the red R/M twist to it! 👌🏼👌🏼
Man, this car is incredible, so close to how I would build my ideal dream machine! There are a couple of things I would add:
-Holley Retrobright Headlights... it looks like those are stock lights and those sealed beams are not up to modern lighting standards for drivability
-Maybe power windows & locks if it doesn't already have that setup now
-Maybe modern seatbelts vs lappers...
-And who would say no to maybe just a little extra power-added somehow. ;) Make full use of that beauty QA1 setup!
Modern Engine too
It’s an absolute piece of art. Job well done to all who helped build this beaut.
This car is awesome. Great work guys
You guys haven’t missed anything with this car. You took my all-time favorite car and gave it an incredible build.
I like big butts and I can not lie
I'm impressed with the vinyl top, one of my favorite things they had on classic cars. They used to rot out underneath the vinyl. It's not like I would have it outside all the time. Other than car shows and impressing my neighbors as they drool watching it drive by.😁
Really nice Charger!!
Grandpa had a Red 70
Beautiful car love the 440 horsepower. Just became a member of the family.
You knock it out of the park😊! Beautiful car!
You guys are killing me... Dream car right here, manual everything... Sigh I guess you getting my money to dream until it comes up again.
The vinyl top is great, and let’s face it, whoever (me😝) wins this will keep it inside, and not have it in the rain often. They will take care of it!
If I win im driving it every day....all over Texas.....I'm going to enjoy it.....we ain't afraid to get dirty down here..... have my girls butt cheeks spread across the hood of that MF on day one😎😎😎
I pray that I win this car. I have dreamed of owning one of these since I was a kid. This thing is gorgeous
Beautiful car!!! The only change I'd make would be to replace the cueball with a pistol grip shifter....gotta have the pistol grip!!!! Also bump the power up on that 440 to maybe 550-600 hp. If you're gonna go, go big!!!👍🏾👍🏾
Can you up the power on this engine to at least that much? I throught this was the max and they did all they could? Some of the cars underpowered
Way more power!!!@@undergroundriptiles7005
Wow you all definitely knock that one out of the park thanks to everyone on this build im 60 years old it would look good in my drive way behind my 2011 dodge Laramie hemi truck thanks

So my son and I back in 1995 bought a 68 sitting in a pasture for $50.00 literally dragged it home in our minds eye we could see the finished product! Haha! four years later we finished our project car on the day of his High School homecoming parade. School colors were tiger orange we painted car color same competition orange. Was awesome! He drove it through college then sold it in 2003! Kicks himself for selling. Sure would like to fly out there with my son to drive that Black Beauty back. Got my entries in we will see. If it’s meant to be we will see! Thanks RestoMods your team always rocks! Love it!
Perfect! Great Build.
I've been looking forward to this video. Beautiful work gentlemen.
A thing of absolute beauty. Having a modern stick shift on top of all that? *chef's kiss*. Would love to win this beast.
What a Beautiful car!
Amazing Charger !!! Lot of great work into an already great foundation! Truly a really beautiful car inside and out and underneath!
Damn. I swear these build cars keep getting nicer. She’s an absolute beauty. I think I need more tShirts….and maybe a hoodie
Die hard Mopar junkie here,I'm winning it. Love your work... Hate the steering wheel/love it that its a mint stocker but a RM SHOULD have custom wheel, nothing cray cray but tough one would set it off..
Very nice build, this is my favorite of the 3 year body style, 68,69 and 70 !
She is a beauty!! I would install a matching passenger side mirror... Other than that, perfection!
Thank you for this its a perfect tribute my dad its exactly like his. I still have the pictures
It’s absolutely perfect
Can't wait for the drive along video it must be amazing with the 4 link the rack & pinion the coil overs upgraded k member I'm sure it feels amazingly planted & engaged
Power windows and sub frame connectors. Power trunk, tilt wheel, power seats, and cruise control, would really add a touch of luxury to this car. And head rests to the front seats, and a rear window defroster. I've only seen one Charger that had all those options. It would be cool on this one.
Thank God they kept the Big Block old school and didn't go to a modern engine
You guys nailed it! I always think, if I won, what would I do, add or change. In this case, absolutely nothing. Outstanding!
Guys this Charger is sooooo cool ! Esparza, I did give it some thought & couldn’t come up with anything else that this car needs. If it’s really true that the camera adds 20 pounds more body weight to a person, it added 20+ pounds of muscle to this beauty. As usual RestoMods y’all knocked it out the park….& it’s so much better than new.
RESTO MODES saved her, Restored her,Modified her, Made her a STAR!!! 1968 DODGE CHARGER!!!!🇺🇸
Led headlights to match the led tailights would be cool & it won't take away anything from the car & increased visibility at night has no drawbacks I can think of this is arguably one of the top 2 or 3 builds you guys have done, at least in my humble opinion it is the 4 link the subframe & the coilovers really make it a driver as well as the wilwood brakes & fitech anyone would enjoy driving this as they won't fight the floatyness & play in the steering such an awesome build for the street
I claim this one! 😍🥳
Wow! They literally built my dream car! I don’t think I would change a thing! I really hope I win! I would have a hard time not driving this to work every damn day!
Gorgeous! Amazing! Hope I win this one!
My Dad had a tripple black 68 in high school in the 70s, and it was stolen. Growing up over the years, Dad would talk about that car all the time. If I win, I'm one hundred percent giving it to my Dad! I can imagine the look on his face when I pull up in the driveway and hand him the keys!
Outstanding - Love it!
Been waiting for this video, nice work guys
Sick car! Third times a charm for a rm charger! 🙏🤞
Omg what a car!!!!!
I have a 68 Charger in my garage. It's a 318 automatic, black on black
I've had since 69
I had a 68 R/T man I miss it lol
This is a beautiful car. I used to have a 69 R/T SE i’m back in 1979 I was young and I was stupid by getting rid of it. Never can go back if I could I never gotten rid of it if I could win this one I would definitely cherish it a beautiful car if I could win it, that would be awesome, but if not, I hope the person that wins it cherishes it as much as I would. Oh my God will who the winner is. If it’s me that would be awesome good luck, everyone.
The only thing I would add is the PISTOL GRIP shifter!! Possibly newer headlights, but aside from that, RM is GOLDEN!
Yes, Yes, Yes 1968 DODGE CHARGER RESTO MODES!! She's a STAR!!🤞
Wow 😳 Wow 😳 Wow that awesome. Car. My favorite. Car
Such an epic, clean restomod
Triple Black Beauty!!! I have measured and it will fit in my garage. My double black Dodge Journey will be parked outside..lol MOPAR or NO CAR!
Im losing sleep over this car.....i think about it all day and dream about it all night......i can't wait to drive it to church.... because God will be the first one i thank for the blessing.....he works through you and your team.....may your family's be blessed for a thousand years 🙏🙏🙏
Doesn't really need anything. Looks great! If I can choose something I think I would want and upgraded steering wheel to add to the look of the car.
You guys killed it, man
That is a tremendous classic machine, that charger is my dream....
Very nice. True to classic style + modern upgrades. I haven't heard it run yet, but it needs a cam with a good lope to it. Power antenna, so you can put a cover on easier. Upgrade seat belts for safety. Tilt steering wheel. Overall, a very nice build and it will be a treasure for the next owner.
Gorgeous 'ole muscle car!
Love to see something like a cuda or road runner next love ask these builds.
I am falling for the 1968 DODGE CHARGER RESTO MODES!!!
Great looking ride!!!! 🤞🤞
Absolutely nailed it. I'm not a vinyl roof guy either, but I have to agree with you, it works because it's black on black. You nailed the suspension, brake, and wheel choice. You asked if there's anything we, as fans/subscribers, think could be added or changed...I never thought I would say yes.
However, Some muscle cars were still on the road as daily drivers in the 80s, as a kid, I made sure I got a closeup look at everyone I seen.
But the first charger I saw....when I walked up to look inside to see if it had manual shift, I saw this bad ass angled pistol grip and I almost fainted lol. It was the most awesome thing I ever seen. I love the classic Cue ball. But in my biased opinion, based on my childhood dream car, I would have to get a custom pistol grip made for that shifter. To fit the theme of the car, there would be a few style options I would consider. First being original would But stained black, second being brushed aluminum hurst style, third being a flat black composite with a center metal tang with rivets like the original style.
Again, this is just my biased opinion.
It would have been cool to add 25 on the R/M badge. But it looks cool without it also. Nice car RestoMods! Thanks for sharing!!
Looks great, but needs factory-like exhaust tailpipes with rectangular exit! Thanks
My first car was a 72 Dodge Challenger Dodge super blue with the black vinyl top I didn't mind the vinyl tops I thought it looked good but being young I wasn't aware of any future problems like rust and peeling but yeah this charger looks beautiful with it and I would absolutely keep it like that
Can the vinyl top be changed? In this day and age it seems like it’s not a good thing
Definitely getting a ticket for this ride. Dream car.
I owned one for a short time. I went to basic training and while I was gone it was wrecked. Nobody was hurt. But no more Charger. It was white. Black vinyl roof. 318. Had 13,000, miles on it. In 74 I paid 1000 dollars for it from my neighbor. It was beautiful.😌
This is the most beautiful car ever made keeping my fingers crossed first time I entered something like this 🍀
Amazingly beautiful 1968 Dodge charger well done. These guys definitely outdid themselves amazing job beautiful work. Mopar no car baby
My first car was a 68 charger loved it.
Beautiful car
To Sweet
Beautiful..nice job....trade ya for my 68 bird
What about the led head light and you guys did an awesome job on it I have always love the 68s as always have a great day
OMG, the first car I ever learned to drive. I took my license in and I loved it. I have one at one every since whoever wins this car is one lucky person wish I would’ve never let it go but when you’re young you don’t know.
Hey, what's up, guys totally radical build? I would love to hear the vehicle in this long presentation. The only thing missing was it's.
Perfect, start up cold and would love to have here. Just a couple seconds to that rumble. Also, hood explanation look like there was some turn signal indicators in that dugout in the send. I love the design. Can't wait to talk to you guys in person about it. Thank you i'm Immensely for having this opportunity... Brian

I'm an OG & had a '69 w/440/4spd 4:30 rear, Prostock type hood scoop, Ghosted flame paint 13.06 1/4 mile all day long. I miss it. You need to put procharger on it. Get 600+hp.
Fantastic work gentlemen! I LOVE this car!!!!
You asked for any suggested improvements...about the only thing that stood out to me is to replace the white knob shifter with a fist grip style shifter in a dark chrome, and get rid of the white knob. So (Lord willing) when I win it for my 56th Birthday (Yeah, I was born in '68, and the drawing is on my birthday April 12th...), I'm going to replace it. Other than that, it's my dream charger, and I grew up on a steady diet of the Dukes of Hazzard. My older brother liked them so much it was his car in high school back in '81.
Maybe install air bags if possible at least on the passenger side?
Led headlights to match the tail lights would be cool other than that I can't really think of anything I'd change
I don’t recall it being mentioned in the video, but I can think of only one item I would upgrade would be installing electric windows while keeping the original crank handle
My eyes are on that 20gs i can barely afford my truck. My dad loves bullitt and id get the best son award for that Christmas (After i daily it for the momths before)
Since you asked us to comment as to what mods we would make, here's what I would add/modify: I would put a right rear view mirror on it simply because I live near DC, and parallel parking is just a way of life. I would actually remove the antenna as well. But also I think it would be great to get one of those modified rear view mirrors (the central one) that embeds a backup camera into the car. It would be a subtle touch that could make parking a much better experience. I saw you put new seat belts in. Are there seat belts for both middle seats front/back? I would contact Lloyd Floor Mats to get them to do one of their wonderful rugs that goes over the entire back of the floor; even over the "hump". I would also install Rain-X hybrid windshield wiper blades. I have a heads up display in my car (that is connected through the OBD2 port). I think a heads up display that could be switched on and off would add a really cool element; especially at night! Finally, I would add all sorts of security features such as a kill switch, locking lug nuts, and a tracking system. The last Charger I owned was a constant target for thieves, and on more than one occasion the kill switch thwarted the theft of the car. PS: on one of your future videos could you show us the trunk? A lot of people will do an awesome restoration of a car, and then totally forget a spare tire and a jack!
Appreciate the feedback and knowledge man!🔥💯
Beautiful machine! Would add headrests to the front seats and a passenger side rearview mirror, for safety purposes. A modern theft-deterrent system would be useful, as well as powered door locks and trunk. Other than that she's immaculate!
Its missing a duel electric exhaust cutout kit🤣 but all things aside its a beautiful car
That satin black stripe would be great on the ram/charger as well I like it more than the yellow factory stripes it's cleaner
RestoMod Charger Floormats, or how about a electric hand warming steering wheel like my grandfather made for his work truck for those cold days a long time ago.
Flying Buttress.........Sail Plane is one of the design areas that makes the 1968,69,70 Charger look so cool. If you are into the "flying buttress" or "sail plane" look check out the Australian version. The 1970s Chrysler Australia.....Valiant Charger could be purchased with the 318ci V8 or the 360ci V8, but for the go fast crew and professional race teams the naturally aspirated Hemi 265ci Straight Six E38 or .49, sorry I can't remember the prefix to the .49 but it was a case of more of the same recipe that went into the E38. Amazing cars.....check them out.
The whole car looks great I think you guy should change the steering well I like the original well. But I think I look better with a different well
She is beautiful
Needs a vintage antenna mast topper! Ya know, just for fun!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
When I hit the lottery I’m getting that one 😂
Literal dream car of mine; triple black 68. Does it get any better than that?
man!!! I cant work enough hours to get my 68 charger done!! what would I add to this car, 1 a passenger side rear view mirror. And bullseye badge in the middle of the gauge cluster.
The only thing I'd change is maybe a bullet style antenna punt intended as a shout out
