He just sits and watches the guest talk and waits for them to stop talking, or more likely just stops them from talking, to make his stupid irrelevant joke which is usually just black teenager slang that he’ll repeat over and over and then say “but you were saying?” and the guest never finishes what they were talking about.

Literally the first TV drama that made a-list actors start doing TV work, there’s a billion dramas these days but in the late nineties The Sopranos was the first TV show with that level of quality acting, script, directing and soundtrack.

It definitely is. Nothing compares by any standard, not to mention the entire format that currently exists because of them solely.
