Great content! Thanks for posting this comparison. I’m a little surprised that CR charges about the same for a Mnandi as they do their large Sebenzas or Inkosis. As a woodworker I can tell you that lignum vitae is typically used for heavy duty mallets. It’s the only wood that doesn’t float - extremely dense.

How I wish CRK would make a little larger Mnandi. Even though I have small hands the Mnandi is toooooo small. One that would measure a little over 7" and have a 3.25" blade would be perfect but it seems that at CRK it's "take it or leave it". Too bad.
That would be nice! I’d also like a medium size sebenza.
I took the plunge after thinking I would never buy a CRK. I like 3" knives and my small Sebenza is just the right size. I had just ordered a William Henry E6 and it is even smaller and an incredibly light knife at 1.1 ounces. I might add a Mnandi in the future when I see a more exotic scale that what is normally available.

evvignes I totally agree. I wish I still owned one. I don’t understand why CRK had to mess with it. The old nicks were so easy to open one handed. The new ones are a challenge to say the least. Why mess with a good thing?

I take my small sebenza to the office. Sit it works with whatever I wear. I'll pick up a mnandi one day.

the ceramic ball interface was introduced with the zaan in 2008. so its probably not soley tims idea. mine works just fine
