...less than $10.00 on Amazon. Keep in mind that this movie is a cult favorite and should not be confused with a Coppala or Scorsese masterpiece. Even more so now is it's relevance for being historically and culturally significant, in my opinion.

Can you please tell me who are the 67 people that actually gave a thumbs down to this man's video? Nick is living proof that you can have it all and still be so humble. He's an honest hard working man that loves his Mopar's, especially his prized Challenger. I'm so proud of him, to be able to actually achieve his lifetime goal, building something that brings out so much youthful enthusiasm from a grown man. How many of us can say the same. Certainly not the 67 who voted thumbs down.

When i was a freshman in College, a friend of mine and I would drive up the canyon every friday night in his MG to see 'Vanishing Point' at this small local theatre (cost a dollar)...well needless to say that white 70 Challenger quickly became my dream car and my obsession....I searched the entire State of Utah for one back then and nothing was available...so i ended up with a 70 Roadrunner instead- but my dream of a 70 Challenger never died....seeing this one of NIcks is the closest i will ever come to fullfilling that dream and i thank you Nick for giving me this- job so well done!!!!

The restoration of Kowalski: Challenger R/T went beyond just bringing a classic muscle car back to life. It was an emotional experience as Nick took us on a wild ride highs and lows until finished to the highest possible standard, this magnificent beast rolled out of the workshop. To me it's more than fabulous car. It is history on wheels, celebrating one of the greatest 'road trip movies' of all time, 'Vanishing Point.' The legend has been reborn.

as Nick was commenting on Ivan doing seats rebuild, I was reminded when I worked at truck plant in Oshawa 1986-88. Our seats were manufactured at the Lear Seiglar plant, just down road in Whitby, some 1/2 hour before installation into vehicles. GM logo was "Just in Time". It certainly is a lot more work restoring than being built at factory. I was feeling for Nick working on his own. A new truck or car in plant took a day to build from scratch. We produced 73 trucks an hour so 500 in an 8 hr shift. Even at 1000 per day, the plant could barely keep up with orders.

Like taking corners at 40 mph and dropping it in to 2nd and hitting 6,000rpm then dumping the clutch and hanging the backend out in a controlled drift. Burnouts from a stop are drivers ed training.

Im just very fortunate to be able to have one now, as this is so much out of reach for so many, its a shame how things have gone with the auto industry, cant compare with the muscle cars of yesterdy! And from Youngstown, Florida, great job on restoring this beautiful classic. When I was stationed in Virginia I bought a '70 Challenger that had just come in from the factory a few days earlier. It wasn't a fast car but it was one heck of a lot of fun to drive. Solid red, inside and out, with a white vinyl top and wood grain trim inside. It only had a 318 with a slap stick tranny but on the highway that car was absolutely perfect. Sadly, a nagging -itch of a wife forced me to trade it and I should have divorced her instead! Every time I see a real '70 Challenger I get a sickening feeling my stomach because I really miss that car.

I have a 70 Challenger SE 375 hp 440 4 sp with a Dana 410 rear end. It also has factory AM-FM radio and power windows. I bought it from the original owner in 1973 for two grand with 12 thousand miles on it. With the 410 posi rear gear, it does fantastic burnouts starting out in second gear and dropping the clutch at 3500 rpm. It gets driven about 500 miles per year.

Nick!!!! Here watching Vanishing Point for my special saturday night treat!!! Had several mopar muscle cars over the years. You do know of course that the movie represented the rebellion against the establishment of the old days. I saw this movie first with friends who were car freaks in '71. One friend i went with tried to talk his parents into an R/T but they werent having any. They bought a '71 Firebird formula 400 with the big breast hood scoops. I had a '68 440 GTX. We took turns driving from mason city iowa, to Winnebago Industries in forest city iowa where we pretended to build motorhomes. Lol i think i purposely partied late and woke up late so the morning commute was a hair raising 130mph. better than coffee wake up ride. Loool!!! I still rebel to this day, no sign of conformity at 66 years old! Party on in that wonderful vehicle and show us some bang shifting/slam shifting stuff ok? Dont let off the throttle just clutch and bang the next gear!!! You know it can take it!!!!

Oh Nick, getting that beauty back on the road, after all that hard work, after getting all those pieces, and getting it back together and finished right(just wished you would have shown the seats going in and such ;) and have it turn out like that..something Very special! Love love LOVE that sound from the exhaust, and would have done the exact same thing, using those inline mufflers as resonators(which I mentioned in a previous vid) w/the original exhaust tips..it sounds like a purring Lion at idle, then like a unrestrained Beast at Power! That Car is a testament to all those who worked on it..all those who contributed pieces or did work on the restoring of the old(including those no longer on this plane of existence), but mostly to your dedication and passion Nick. And that time in the video where you get out of it and stand next to it with that Huge smile..makes it all worth it. How cool it coincided w/the Plaque from youtube, s just magical. Man that vehicle has a special place in history! Can't wait until you build the original 440 from and for it though, and get it back under the hood, even if that test mule runs really well.

@@nickpanaritis4122 , realize many late nights and weekends were put into that car, and also that a camera is often the last thing on your mind when you're trying to get it done, but even 1 on stand set up looking into the car, getting blocked at times would have been nice..only because I'd watch it ;) which is funny actually, because It's not like I haven't removed and installed or re-installed seats, even in a '71 'Cuda, to fix movement tracks or replace seats(my '72 had put in Cloth velvet swivel buckets that I was told came from a high end Monte Carlo or Olds back then) so close vehicles to that Classic. And know George works so hard bring what he does for us, and it is greatly appreciated, have a friend who runs a video service for something else, and have an idea of how much work it is I believe..hrs. an hrs. of editing for even 20 mins. of video!
