How Do You Use Brush Pens?
Watercolor brush pens are a very versatile art medium. They can be used alone, or you can mix their ink with water for a more translucent look. When used without water, you can get fine lines for details, dry brush effects, and the ability to blend colors together. By placing the ink on a palette and then adding a bit of water, you can loosen the pigment and brush it on your surface for layering, glazing, and creating soft edges.

I've had these brush pens for a long time but was never successful using them. Now I can see how I am supposed to work with them. I was doing it all wrong! In general, I've been lousy at any watercolors. I'll try them again and hope to get something good next time. This was very helpful.

When your trying to blend the colours in with this ,do you wait till all the colour has dried then use the wet brush or do it before it dries?

Hi can you use these on a regular coloring book? I just recieved mine today!
Hey there! Our brush pens are indeed safe to use on coloring book, however, we recommend using paper that is 140lb or more, as the watercolors may bleed through thinner pages.

already failed on step 2, there´s barely comming any paint off of them, what do I do?
The pens can be revived by dipping the tip in water.

Does anybody know what the palette is? Is it just a piece of plastic? Because i want to color large areas but I don't want to use up all the ink in the brush pen so is the palette for sale or can I just use any plastic tray?
Hey Alison! This is a regular piece of plastic, we don't sell our own palettes. We recommend finding something that you think would best fit your style and needs!
