I love these bands that you know they are actually playing live. Mistakes and or off key singing can sound just as good, ie this video. I hate seeing a concert and the band plays it perfect. I love senses fail, blink 182 and soundgarden because they make little mistakes and don't try and hide them, it's just pure emotion coming through.
What a lot of people don't realize is that singers like Buddy are very energetic on stage (Not so much on this song) and when you're moving around that much singing becomes much more physically taxing. Go into your living room and sing 10 songs back to back while jumping around and performing. Not that easy.

"emo" band standards? i wouldn't say buddy's a terrible singer if his job title is literally "professional singer" how the fuck can he walk on stage and shout for hours without puking, or passing out, it takes a strong heart and an iron set of lungs to do what buddy and these other bands do.
Obviously you don't know what auto tune is, only want to be music artists use auto tune, Senses fail does sound kinda weird but music doesn't get much more real than this.

The people saying parts are edited don't know what to look for.. If they retuned his voice it would not sound that natural.
It's edited meaning that they went back into the studio afterwards. Most bands do overdubs like that, these just weren't covered up well
It wasn't overdubbed. Obviously a direct recording off of each instrument.
