😂 So badly lip synched. They didn't even record a new vocal to use for the live lip synch either. They just used the original vocal from the album with production and all. Haha.

It’s actually a different vocal track lol, from a 2006 show in Atlanta. At least he stopped lip syncing it on the most recent tour

@@youtubetrial7170 So it's not the original studio version vocal? The vocal is definitely produced. If it's not the original studio version vocal and is from a 2006 show. They must have done a decent quality audio recording of that 2006 show, and/or gone back and re engineered that old recording and mixed it to be used as a live lip sync track. I guess I don't listen to enough Nickleback to pick up on the subtle differences between the original vocal and this one. But yeah, it's definitely lip synced, either way. Cool to hear he's not doing it on their recent tour. Thanks for the insight.

@@closinginonclosuredefinitely produced, but I think they record all their shows so probably found one that fit best. Either that or they recorded it in studio to seem live, and started using it in Atlanta. It’s funny because the vocal track he’s lip syncing sounds way different than the mic he was just taking into lol. However he does still lip sync burn it to the ground with a live sounding track (since early 2012). Hoping that goes away soon too lol
Edit: really obvious with this track especially as he says “yea” and “come on” at the exact same parts of the song up until 2023 where they tuned down the song a full step and stopped lip syncing. Some exceptions being in 2013 and 2014 where they temporarily stopped lip syncing and he sounded great, never knew why they preferred the lip synced version.

@@youtubetrial7170 It's always a bummer to hear any rock band lip syncing. It's rock n roll. It doesn't have to be perfect all of the time. I'd imagine he's choosing to lip sync, because he has trouble with the vocals of certain songs live, depending on how his voice is feeling and performing at the time. But I think the vast majority of their fanbase would much rather him actually sing live and do something like, just sing the parts he struggles with in a different key/range that he can comfort sing in. Or just roll with it and don't worry about any mistakes. In my opinion, genuinely singing and taking liberties like that, is excusable, but lip syncing is less excusable. Especially for a rock show.
